I started with a Puma 64 and then moved up to a 72. Very happy with both of them. I plow a 1/4 mile asphalt driveway so the skids are set all the way up and the blower it pitched forward slightly.

Also consider getting a battery blanket. I found that I have much more cranking power when the battery is not frozen.

Filling your backhoe bucket with weight will also help since it is so far behind the tractor's center of gravity.

Plows take a lot of force. I don’t think a wooden plow would survive very long. I attached a 7.5’ plow to a SSQA plate. Has hydraulic blade angle adjustment. Plow hangs from a chain so it floats to follow the driveway nicely. Paid $100 for the plow. Painted it up and it looks and works great.

The higher weight rating on the distribution hitch, the stiffer the bars are. I have 2 WD hitches, a 6000 lb set for my camper and a 14000 lb set for my equipment trailer. The 14000 is much harder to set the bars. It doesn't matter how much the trailer weighs.

You should be happy with that setup. May be harder to lock into place than you had to be since they are rated for 14K pounds and only pulling 10K trailers.

I ended up getting a 12’x12’x4’ pallet rack with 2 shelves off Craigslist for $500 or so. Allows me to store my snowplow, bucket, snowblower, rototiller, chipper, forks and a couple generators and a wood stove vertically.

We did our pole barn trusses with a 20' boom and Harbor Freight hoist. Placed the 8' tall x 32' long trusses on the 12' walls with ease. We built a jig to support the trusses across multiple places.

We have turf tires on our TC29D. They are much wider than R4's and do much less damage to soft ground than R4 's do. They are also better with the NH Super Steer. I would think SS would really dig up turf with R4's.
