    Brake Cable Adjustment Zero Turn

I’d check the actual brake pads themselves if you haven’t already. Make sure there’s nothing preventing the pads/brakes from physically engaging completely (debris or done). 2015 is not that old, but I don’t know how much it’s been used. And….to state the obvious, always secure the load.

    Spartan mower cut help please

Since it seems that you done most of the mechanical changes, maybe it has to do with the deck shell itself. If the deck has large dents, or is caked with mud/debris underneath, the air flow may be affected enough to affect the air flow from the blades.

When to use, or not use, the diff lock?

I had some wet spots in my field that would never dry up, so when brush hogging, I would step on the differential lock as I was coming up to it so that the rears were locked by the time I got into it.

No power after battery change on New Holland Workmaster 33

Long shot, but since you’ve checked the cables, make sure all of your safety switches are not set and preventing it from working. Wiggle the shifter and leave it in neutral, make sure the pto is off, etc. Safety switch wiring may have broke somewhere. Since you’ve had sporadic electricity...

    Alternator not charging my battery

Check the alternator belt first; make sure it’s not slipping. With the engine off, check the battery voltage- should be roughly 12.5 or 12.6 Then start the engine and check yhe battery voltage again - should be roughly 13.6 to 14.6. If the voltage doesn’t change (go up) while the engine is...

Can I add anti-gel to my tractor

I get my diesel in 5 gallon containers; I put some Silver PS in each container before I fill it up, so it’s always already mixed in. I do that year round. Keep the Red 911 PS bottles available just in case I need it, but never have. The only equipment I’ve ever had gelling issues with is...

    Heavy wet crap

Bucket is the best choice. I have a blower on an enclosed skidsteer, and it is a pain to use in wet snow. I have the blower off now and just use the bucket; much quicker and less stressful. I have my tractor as a back up. Use to plow with a truck until about three years ago. Could...

Oil & Fuel Hydraulic Fluid Shows "Low" After Removing Backhoe, Should I Add Oil?

I’d add oil to the full mark. It’s measuring what’s in there now. The level shouldn’t change if you put the backhoe back on. I like to check the level on a regular basis, because it helps to detect slow leaks, especially in implements.

Steam Boiler or Steam Generator for Weed Control

I tried killing weeds and grass around my inground pool one year using one of those large propane torches that you attach to a 25lb propane canister. It burned the tops just fine, but not the roots, so everything ultimately grew back. I’d think you’d have the same results with steam - unless...

snowblower on my 425 does not throw snow very well

I use a 50 hp skidsteer with a blower. The blower performance obviously depends on how wet the snow is. With normal to wetter snow, the first path using the full blower width I just have to go slower. After the first path is opened, I usually just use half of the blower width in order to...

    Removal of Gauge Condensation

My son would get condensation in his Ford Edge taillights lens in the winter; it wouldn’t go away until summer. Can you guys help me select the right snow removal implement for my specific application ?

If money is not an issue, get both. There will be occasions where the type of snowfall that you get (light, wet, drifting, etc) will dictate which one would be best to use. I used to plow with my F350 and a Western MVP, but also have a tracked skid steer with a blower. I would use the...

I doubt that you’ll find a plow blade that can be swapped between a truck and a tractor. The truck will need the mount that will hold whatever brand of plow it is (such as Western, Fisher, Boss, etc). The tractor would have to have the same type of hardware (receivers). Then there is also...
