Just can see the spool caps in picture 3 and yes it has float option. Like others said just a quick jab should put it in float. You will know you are in because the joystick will stay all the way forward when you let go. You will have to pull the joystick back to neutral to get out of float.

Welcome to TBN. I would be surprised if it did not have float function. Can you post a picture of the loader valve? If we can see the spool caps on the back we can confirm if it has float. One will be longer than the other one.

Are they loose in the joint or where it goes into the steering knuckle? There was a problem on some older 20 series but not anything recent that I am aware of. They had an updated knuckle and tie rod for those that was done under a warranty service advisory.

I think you are close to finding the problem. Next step for me would be pulling that number 2 injector and having it tested/rebuilt.

Maybe loosen the fuel line at the injectors one at a time to see if problem stays the same or gets worse?

Maybe do a voltage drop test from that post to the other end of that cable. A bad connection could definitely cause your symptoms.

I would pull the power beyond sleeve and look for the o-ring at the bottom of the sleeve. Wondering if it is damage or missing. Without that sleeve, the C port is just another tank port. It will look something like this.

From looking at the parts manual it looks like the lever and foot pedal are connected to the pump with cables. I would start by disconnecting the cable at the pump and move the lever to verify the cable moves smoothly.

Sounds like you are looking at a motor rebuild. The easiest thing would be to find another running 1050 and save your current one for parts.

I believe we have a male drain plug that identifies as female. OP is looking for a female 12mm square socket to remove his male drain plug. Most of us would use an open end 12mm wrench for this or a bigger Crescent. But he is not a fan of these options.

I do not believe it will be injectors at all. Something is blocking fuel or a safety switch is turning the tractor off.

Even though I don’t have the same issue, this with no doubt would work. This will drain most of the oil out of the cylinders so it can’t build pressure.

Mine are Safeway S45-4 on the grapple. Same on the Kioti, and I can’t tell what is on the Branson but definitely different. But have not had an issue on either tractor.

Wonder if it is the type of connector? I have taken mine off in the early morning and let it sit in the sun and had no issues reconnecting.

For mine I release pressure by working the valves before I take the grapple off. Then I hook the two grapple hoses together. Then when I unhook the hoses to put back on the tractor, the pressure is relieved enough to not cause a problem so far.

Did the problem start after you put the new stopper in? Maybe try to run it with the stopper removed and see if it dies as a test.

So you do not have a fuel cap anymore? Is there anything to keep trash from getting into the tank? If not, there definitely could be trash cutting of the fuel supply from the tank. It will not be a bad fuseable link. When that blows the starter would not spin at all.

The difference between the two valves is power beyond. The one on the tractor has and needs 3 hoses because the third hose feeds the remote valve or 3pt valve. In order to use the valve that came with the loader you would need to add a power beyond sleeve and a third hose.

Maybe replace the fuse with a light bulb and try it. If it is a short the bulb will light up. Then keep disconnecting things or wiggling wires till the light goes out. Once it goes out you found the problem.

I would swap the hoses between the curl spool and lift spool so that moving joystick left or right raises the loader. If problem goes away on lift but moves to jerky curl then the directional control valve is the likely culprit.

I would say it seems to be adjusted as I would like but yes, you can adjust it with more free play if you like. But at some point you will have difficulty in getting in gear or with it trying to still pull with the clutch pushed all the way in.

If it is getting fuel to the injectors then I would think the fuel solenoid is working. I would test the glow plugs and make sure the air filter is clean and no obstructions in the air box as a next step. Does it have a water separator on the fuel filter?

A couple of questions. What is the outside temperature where you are located? How did you verify fuel to the injectors? Was it running then all of a sudden stop or did it run fine last time you used it? I would suggest not using starter fluid anymore. Modern diesel engines don’t do well with...

It is not that I think a 25hp tractor can’t pull down a tree but they are not designed for that type of work. You can easily hurt the tractor or yourself doing that type of activity. A chainsaw is much better suited for tree removal.

I would think any of the three you listed would serve you well. I would not be concerned about the Kioti being too heavy for the engine. Weight is a good thing in a tractor. I would suggest you look closely at the dealers. Talk to people that have used them, check out their service departments...

I did not use those on mine. You certainly can. I just don’t need it at night and the flasher is disconnected on mine. All I cared about was temp, fuel and tach.

I just used the wires for the fuel gauge and temp gauge. I used the bulb sockets for low water level in the reservoir in one of the holes and oil pressure in the other one. They were a little smaller so I wrapped them in electrical tape to make them fit tighter in the hole. Nothing fancy but it...

I would have to take it back apart to remember everything but it is not difficult. If I get a break in weather and some time during the holidays I will install the fuel gauge match unit and can get some pictures of the wiring for you.

The cable for the tachometer will need to be custom made. The wiring was straight forward. I just used the same wires that were on the old cluster. The fuel gauge is the only thing that is not right as of now but I have the fix that needs to be installed.

I would suggest taking it to your dealer and ask them to check it out. It should be under warranty and they likely have a PTO dyno they can use to load the engine.

Turbos are pretty resilient anymore. I doubt you will ever have a problem with the turbo. I have never heard of anyone with the 5520 having turbo issues but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened.

I would have used the battery on the tractor to jump with the cables to the starter. That way you also eliminate a bad battery although I do not think it is bad. But jumping positive post to starter only then trying then ground only then trying would tell you which cable is bad.

A wiring diagram would help but I doubt the relay has anything to do with lights. It is more plausible that in the process of disconnecting the switch and trying to use a jumper something is now shortened. I would look closely at the wires around the switch and behind the instrument panel.

I would not involve an attorney at this point. You definitely should ask for money back or maybe ask if you can swap for the 4820C since you liked your Branson. The dealer might be willing to help do that. Everything you mentioned is under warranty and they should be willing to work with you.

The 20 series definitely has more room than the 15 series. I am taller but not too thick so I do ok in my 4815C. Another thing to consider is I was told they stopped producing the shuttle in the 15 series and offer only HST. May produce it again next year as they have had issues with the clutch...

Maybe check for loose lug nuts as well. We see them come loose on new tractors all the time.

Does it do it when the 4wd is engaged, disengaged or both? Either way that is what the warranty is all about. Call your dealer.

Welcome to TBN. Out of the models you listed and the task you have mentioned, I would go with the 4820. The main reason is it has the tightest turning radius out of the 3 and that would come in handy in the woods.

As long as there is not another valve with a pressure relief then the pressure would be the same. Of course it will be different downstream of the valve you are using for the test.

I really don’t watch it often as it is too far away from me while on the tractor to see. I do look at it when I lift my pallet to fuel the tractors as I am standing beside it when lifting. It takes about 1,800 PSI to lift that.
