New seat installed. It was a direct fit, no mods needed. The height feels good even with the suspension under the seat. The tire is finally on the rim. The tire shop had to use two bead blaster simultaneously to get the bead to seal. I could hear them cursing from the waiting room...lol.

Got the 72” side discharge deck straightened out and welded up. Welded plates onto the back side of the deck, and used a pipe wrench to bend back into shape. Not perfect, but good enough for government work. Front crack welded up and reinforced with some angle iron.

New hyd lines and fittings installed on the main press lines for the loader. Also needed a new Union for the qd coupling. Dumping 6 gal of fluid in through the open rear access panel before I put the cover back on.

I’m so close I can almost smell the diesel exhaust! Air filter assembly going on. Battery installed and cables tied up and covered in spiral wrap. Fuel tank installed with new fuel line and leak off line.

Alternator and new belt installed. Radiator installed. Had to remove the battery box first, wouldn’t fit with that in place. New radiator hoses installed. The top hose is no longer available, but I was able to find an aftermarket one on the bay.

Picking up steam now... Air intake installed. It doesn’t take much to twist off these 10mm stud/nuts. Fuel lines cleaned up. Lines and clamps installed. I left the top nut finger tight for bleeding the fuel system latter. New leak off lines and clamps installed.

New sway chains installed. I had to shorten them by a link. Exhaust going back on with new hardware and gaskets. Used high temp anti seize on the studs.

Some progress. Got the block heater out finally. I drilled holes across it and then slid a hacksaw blade in and cut it in half. Few whacks with a drift and hammer and she poped out in pieces. I measured the hole and it is 40mm. I found a Katz brand online for $15. Hopefully it fits...

Got a few bits painted yesterday. Just did areas where there was rust or missing paint, didn't go crazy as this is a working machine. Placed another order with Messicks, and my fuel injectors are on their way back to me. Hope to have her back up and running in a week or two.

The right side brake pack looks wonderful too. The shoe limit is 3.5mm, and I'm at 4.5mm. They are only 5mm when new. Going to finish cleaning, lubing, and install it back on the tractor. Will adjust this side to 1" pedal travel too.

The 3 point arms and top link all painted up. I noticed some steel missing from around the spherical bearing after cleaning. Is there anything I need to worry about with this? They don't fall out or anything.

Took care of all my mice abatement today. Used clear silicone to glue down a rubber boot over the speed control friction lever. Stuffed a hard rubber into the holes around the steering box. Used clear silicone to glue down the rubber seal around the hydro lines.

Gave the seat a coat with some blue plasti dip. Saw some people do this on YouTube. Looks better than it did, will see how it holds up.

The top link was also frozen with rust. Some more time with the torch, and pb blaster finally got it free. Here are the 3 point pieces cleaned and ready for paint.
