Added some zerk fitting extensions to my groundsmasters today. Used a grease gun hose, 1/8” npt union, and zerk to make them. I put the extension on the forward pto zerk because they are so hard to get to. The buffalo turbine had three zerks under the safety grill, so I put some...

Pulled the cozy cab off of the 322 today and will put it on the other machine with the broom for snow removal duty. Once the cab was off I took the buffalo turbine blower out for its first run. I was expecting it to be better than the toro blower I had before, but I wasn’t sure how much...

Thank you for the pictures, definitely looks to be a 328 housing. Can you confirm it is a 1989 model? I found out what the fuel tank cover is from. It appears in the cozy cab installation manual. I’m guessing to cut down on the Venturi effect the radiator fan causes through the cab. Last...

Wanted to show the latest addition to the stable. It is a 322d with buffalo turbine I’m going to use for leaf removal. I believe it was used for clearing sidewalks of snow in a previous life. Can’t wait to use it. Some pics of the machine, which is getting a complete inspection/tune up...

The seed adjustment chart for the flow control handle. Did a test on the asphalt with the flow handle set at 5. It gives a nice even disbursement, but was a bit heavy, so I dropped the handle down to 4. The business end. The front tines are pto driven and dethatch, or scarify the soil...

Finally got to use the 82 seeder today. The 322 was in really good shape. Did a full full fluid and filter change, needed one new tire, a few bushings for the pto fork, and a new roller for the neutral detent. Thing is a beast. The seeder needed a new roller chain, lots of rusted pivots freed...

Wanted to post some pics of often overlooked lubrication points on the pto system. None of these areas have a zerk fitting, but do require lube or they will wear out. A rattle can type lube with a long straw works best for me. What I use is white lithium, but may try a motorcycle chain lubricant...

Installed the rebuilt pto shaft today. Still have some vibration, but much less than before. It appears to be coming from the tractor side of the shaft. Had the driveshaft for my guardian deck rebuilt. The old one had worn splines and was bent .750” and would wobble pretty good. New shaft, new U joints and we are back in business. New shaft from Toro is $550, to rebuild mine was $240.

Pulled the Groundsmasters out today after a long Winter sleep. Did a complete service, we’re ready for the season. Changed the mower gearbox oil today. I figured after two seasons it was time. After draining I could tell it was pretty filthy, so will be changing every season from now on.

    Snapper YT12 can稚 find parts

Can anyone help me locate a part for my yt12 tractor? I need the button that fits in the middle of the drive disc. If I can’t get that, I guess the next higher assembly is the entire drive disc. A good shot of the brushes, which were in good shape. I'm glad, because if I had to replace them I don't know if I could get the parts. At this point I spent an hour just cleaning everything and removing rust and mouse feces. I lubed up the splined starter gear and both end bushings. Used...

Starter rebuild day! She was cranking pretty slow, even after we installed a new battery. I know it may have been a bad ground or something, but I figured while it's out might as well go through it. The victim of mice infestation. I dumped all the seeds and mice rice out first. Solenoid...

Here is a shot of the injectors. You can see the steel leak off lines between the injectors that are preventing me from removing them. Anyone know how to pull the injectors on this thing without bending the leak off lines?

Thanks sld. If not I will just bite the bullet and get a new one from Messicks. They must be gold plated or something though, kinda pricey. Did the final rust removal and cleaning of the frame today. All that is left is masking, and paint. I had to clean the hydro cooler fins with a oil...

Got the seals changed in the injector pump fittings tonight. The lines and Pistons removed. Some corrosion in here, so must have been water in the fuel at some point. The inside of the pump. Two of the injectors were finger tight. It ran though, so I guess it wasn't leaking too bad. I...

The 3 point arms and top link all painted up. I noticed some steel missing from around the spherical bearing after cleaning. Is there anything I need to worry about with this? They don't fall out or anything.

Took care of all my mice abatement today. Used clear silicone to glue down a rubber boot over the speed control friction lever. Stuffed a hard rubber into the holes around the steering box. Used clear silicone to glue down the rubber seal around the hydro lines.

Got the 3 point chains cleaned and painted up today. Picked up some utility lights to replace the headlights that were missing on mine. Trying to free up my frozen 3 point hitch adjustment arm. It is rusted solid in there. Have it soaking in pb blaster for the night and will mess with it...

Got the 3 point sway control chains pulled to free them up. They were stuck pretty bad, but got them loose with lots of elbow grease. What do guys use on these?...grease?...ant-seize? Also started buying some toys. Picked up a quick hitch adapter for some future attachments. Have a wish...
