I got stuck so bad today. Wish these things had a differential lock on them.

Was buried up to the axles, what a mess it made. Took an hour to clean all the mud out and re-grease everything.

Used my Ford 1510 and 40’ of chain to pull her out. It’s been a really wet Spring here, hopefully things dry out soon.

New to me 325d in the shop for initial inspection and service. 3500 hours on the clock.

Found it has the other style rear end offered with these.

Has the fat one way coupling that requires oil. It is a bit loose on the input shaft, so will need to look into that.

PTO kept trying to engage on me when I drove it into the shop. Found a broken spring, also missing the S hook for it.

The brakes are froze up, found a broken cable on the left side.

I’m starting to tear into the PTO as I think it will need to be removed for repair. The whole assembly slides forward and aft about 1” which is obviously a problem. This includes the drive pulley on the back which can’t be good for the belt.

And I thought i had it bad, was taking the trash down to the road last night and had the cart sitting on the mower deck. There was this pumped up ridge of gravel that the car never touches so I thought i would flatten it out with my front tire. Big mistake!!!! Thankfully I powered through it and didn't get stuck but it was nasty!

Draining all fluids in the 325 today.

655CCFE1-E5C1-4FE6-A592-3567D191D9B6.jpeg

Drained the rear axle fluid and found tiny sparkles of metal that look like bronze possibly. The fluid was a grey color and very thick, not sure what that was about, but it smelled like gear oil.

Removed the transaxle dipstick and found no oil on it, there was also rust. When I drained it I could tell it was type F transmission fluid as it was red. No metal flakes, but could see it was about 3 quarts low from the amount of oil that came out.

I ordered a new filter from R&R supply for the transmission, and they sent me a Baldwin, which is good, but as you can see it is much smaller than the factory filter.

Everything points to snow removal duty for this machine so far. The type F fluid, sand everywhere, and the push arm ball joint bracket is in a position for a blower, or maybe a broom.

My parts book for my 322D shows a 23-2300 trans filter, it the one you show a large capacity one?

never mind, i thought you were working on the 322, not your 325 oooops lol

Yup, they both run. I drove the 325 into the shop to start this fiasco. I’m amazed it even moved considering how low it was on hyd fluid.

So I broke off one of the tire mounting studs because I was too stupid/lazy to drag out the impact gun to get them off and instead grabbed the biggest breaker bar I could find...snap. Is this a big deal or can I run it like this?

I found this on the old air filter. Seems it has only put on 500 hours in the last 9 years.
