Ended up selling it. If I was on grass, wouldn’t creep in gear with clutch in- enough resistance, but on concrete or blacktop, it’d go. I told new owner about it, so he’s aware.

The only thing on your list that may be culprit is the TSC belt. Routing was checked. Pulleys look original, and no damage visible where rear axle is misaligned or mounted different.

Lookee what I discovered👍-Kubota BX series rims are a perfect fit on the 430, and stick out 4” either way you mount rim. The JD wide rims it’s either 2-1/2 or 6”, so the Kubota rims are a happy medium 👍these are Kubota BX2380 rims, so I’m guessing any of the 12” BX rims from the 23xx or 26xx...

What size deck do you have? Be very careful on any inclines - it is a very tippy machine if you don't have rear wheel spacers or liquid ballast in tires. I put 2" spacers on mine, and the rear tires don't clear the rear deck wheels by much. If you have a 54" deck, not sure if spacers can be used.

How wide are the spacers? I have 2" ones on my BX2380, and the tires are close to the rear deck wheels with a 60" deck. I think if I had a 54" deck I couldn't have used the spacers. I think a 60" deck might clear, but I'm not familiar on how wide the B2601 is to begin with compared to a BX....

On my BX2380, push the front guard forward and tilt up, side panels are integrated with hood. The BX1870 was another story, that plastic wraparound side panels was a real PITA to put back on...never saw strap either....

That's what happened to me. Bought it brand new in 2007 (GR2100)and by time I made last payment the rear end was grinding badly. It was just outside of warranty also. I think it was around 400+ hours. Sold it for $1600 or $1700 with it grinding. Guy was gonna fix it himself....

I think the 3204 had shaft drive to deck. All I know I had to take deck off every 2nd or 3rd mowing and scrape it off. It was always pretty much packed. It got old fast....

All you have to do is get a rag, put over end of hose that has the ball at tip, and just press against something hard. Just watch your hand and feet placement when you do it for any movement from loader....

Messicks also sells some fabricated stabilizer arms they have a local shop make for around $190. I dislike how much sway is in my 3 point hitch when I use the back blade to clean driveway in winter, so I just use loader....

Try replacing lines first. When they get old they like to collapse when hot, especially in engine compartment. When replacing line from tank to filter in engine, locate clamps and loosen in frame rail. Butt new line up to line end off of tank, wrap together with some electrical tape a few inches...

I recommend replacing both sides. Other side probably isn't far behind. I think the oem boots on my 1870 were cracked within the first year or so. I replaced them with the Bota Products boots. They are holding up well. I'll have to look tomorrow and make sure dealer didn't mess with them last...

I run the Oregon Gator blades on my 54" deck. I have the set that came on from Kubota(plain) and 2 sets of the Gator blades. I bought that All-American blade sharpener and I think I sharpen them at 40 degree angle.

Ended up being the spline shaft that the front and rear universals attach to. Dealer has 6 hrs labor tearing into front end instead of just taking shaft out and isolating it first. Kubota won't warranty it, which is BS , machine only has 439 hrs. on it. Sliding end is not mentioned in owners...

Update from dealer.... no clue:mad::mad::mad:. They can definitely feel vibration in floorboards when in 4wd, not in 2wd. Tore front axle apart and everythings ok up there. I told them when I dropped it off AND showed a video from underneath that noise is coming from output area of transmission...

Hi folks! I have a question. Will a RCKB60-23BX deck work on a BX1870? I have a 54" deck now, and have noticed quite a few 60" ones for sale, but never any 54" ones. If it fits, would the extra 6" bog the 1870 or cause any problems? Not sure if anyone here has tried it or actually is using a 60"...

I'd get the 2380- a little more power than the 1870, placement of loader lever, ease of disconnecting loader( 1 lever instead of 4 couplers) and a 60 inch deck. The dealer I went to today actually had 2 1880's in stock( or at least what I saw). Still undecided....

Dealer offers one, close to $1500, not sure if it's an air or mechanical one. KM has one , mechanical is close to $900 and air is over $1200. There is a tread in the Kubota buying and owning sectin I just saw that has links to the KM one...

Google that part #, then look at results. Messicks lists the driveshaft, along with yokes separately,which are close to $100 each anyway. Better off with the new complete shaft it seems, as you don't know how that other yoke was stressed when the other broke...

I just did mine on my BX1870 at 385 hrs. Easy for me as I changed out the fluid also. Didn't see any metal or other crap on it. I also found a grease fitting I didn't know existed-for the speed control pedal, which is accessed lifting the little rubber piece on the floor mat;)...

Take the breather plugs at top of each hub( if the 2380 has them) and see if the gears have oil over them. I just did my close to 400 hr service on it, need to remove them when filling up front axle.

BX1880 , light duty box blade will be fine, if you had a 2380 or 2680 might go with a heavier duty one. I'd snap it up if I lived there. I have a rear blade and a rake, tried using blade doing snow last year and didn't like it- shifted side to side with it down, not sure how much a box blade...
