You definitely do NOT want to use gas with Ethanol in it. It will destroy your carb O-rings and gaskets. Locate and buy the 91 octane fuel and ad some of the additives that are designed for older engines that originally used leaded fuel. Your pockit book will thank you. Richard

Hum - hard to believe that a bad battery would cause a fuse to blow. I guess if the fuse was from the alternator to the battery and the battery drew more current than normal, it could happen, but I doubt it.

In Beenthere's photo of the hood parts, look at item #29. It appears that all you have to do is disconnect any head light wires there maybe and then with the hood tipped forward as far it will go, just lift the hood off of the item #29 on each side of the frame. Richard

OK here is the drive and cut lawn report. With the throttle at wide open and no load, the RPM runs up to about 3,600 or so. With load and still at WOT, the RPM varies from about 2,500 to the 3,600 RPM. So not the best, but I can live with this. Richard

So you have accumulated 19 Ryobi 40v 8ah batteries. Home Depot is listing these at $279 each. So if my math is correct, you have 19 X 279 = $5301.00 invested in batteries. That's a lot of money. I hope that works out for you.

You have some crusty looking grounds near the regulator. Did you clean them up ? Also did you clean up the connectors that plug into the regulator?

It's not a vacuum line, it is a pulse line. The pulses from the crankcase cause the diaphragm in the pump to move back and forth and that action combined with a couple of check valves cause the fuel to be pump thru the part.
