    Small Rotary Cutters

I have a 4110 rated at 17 PTO horsepower. Any ideas for a proper sized unit would be appreciated. The only model I have seen up to this point is the 48" KK. Unit would not be used that hard but would like to be able to take care of small brush, 1" or less. Have seen info on the Bush Hog SQ42 &...

    trailer question

What are the best locations to use on a tractor to secure it to the trailer?. I have heard some people chain around the front axle but that seems you could break something. I was planning to hook onto the front weight bracket and to the drawbar on the rear. This make any sense? I am open to...

To BH or not to BH...that is the question

OK here we go, bought a 4110 last year that I really like. HOWEVER now wish I would have gone with something bigger for a BH. Where our land is located there aren't any local areas to rent from so this sort of compounds the problem. I got one price from the JD dealer located up in NY. (we live...

    Trailer Options

Need to get a trailer for my 4110 so we can make trips up to NY to work on our property. I have a Ford Ranger 4.0L 4x4 that I plan to tow with. It has a 5000# total weight limit. My tractor the way it is equipped weighs in around 3100#'s. Just looked at a 16' tandem trailer with pull out ramps...

    MMM vs Rear Finish

Will a rear finish mower do as nice a job as a MMM? better? worse? Need to get something and cost is an issue. Right now I have about 1 acre to mow and I sure don't want to push mow it.

    Mowing  Kioti Finish Mower

Anyone have any experiance with the KMR03-48 finish mower? I do not have a dealer real close so I was wondering about cost, etc. From their web page it looks like a nice unit. Also looking at Woods, Frontier and First Choce, thanks for any help/information.

    Price Check  MMM Price Quote

Just received a price quote of $1595. for a 54" MMM. Price includes latch kit so 3 pt. hitch can be used independent of the mower and installation. Also any opinions if it just makes more sense to buy a small riding mower that you could get cheaper than $1600. Thanks... NOTE: Have less than 1...

    Just my luck!

Figures...I am setting here watching the first snow of the season (about 8" right now) and I have the worst cold I have had in years! Tractor covered with a tarp because I haven't got the shed project done yet. One way or the other I need to get out in the snow. I love it...

    Ballast Box

I am going to take the FEL off soon and put the front blade on for snow (wishfull thinking). Do you need to keep the ballast on for the blade? Box weighs about 380 pounds. Also, when using the ballast box with the FEL I try to keep the box as low as possible, thinking this helps lower the center...

    New Tractor

I have used my new 4110 for about five hours now, with all the rain haven't used it as much as I would have liked! In the short amount of time I have used it it is amazing how many different ways you can think of using a tractor.

    Ballast  Ballast

I don't even have my tractor yet but I have a question. Would a Woods RB60 (less than 300 pounds) be enough counter weight for a 410 loader on a 4110? or should I put the ballast box on when using the loader? For the most part the ground is level where I will be using it. Thanks!!!

    Shed Project

Want to make it easier to get my tractor in the shed. Right now there is a door on the side of the shed. It would be much easier to enter from the end of the shed. Before I go and cut out the end of the shed and spend the time to construct my own doors I was wondering if anyone out there knows...

    New Tractor

Recently bought 5 acres of land on Seneca Lake in NY. Land currently covered with brush and small trees. Have a JD 4110 ordered to use as a work tractor to help with clearing land and then with landscape work around the house and driveway. Waiting for the tractor to arrive, due mid October. The...
