What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

I have mine sitting in my cupholder awaiting the time I finally remember to bring some superglue to my property with me. You know, for some reason it never would have crossed my mind to do this despite staring at my bag of zip ties I have in my tool bag each time I open my vehicle to grab my...

What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

Today I'm doing my 50 hr maintenance in my outdoors "workshop" 😁. I sure am racking up the hours on this thing, feels like I just got it yesterday.

What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

I installed my Pats quick attach on my lower link arms yesterday. So far, so good, I can give a better review later as I use them. I didn't want the standard quickattach because I wanted something that would work no matter what implement I picked up. I only have to attach the upper link and...

    Row marker

Hm, half a meter precision is around 1.5 feet, when he's originally off by 1-2 feet, I'm not sure this would work out too well. Seems pretty horrible to me but I'm used to planting corn where a few inches actually matter a lot, I don't have experience with your system. Is half a meter like...

    Row marker

Whenever I was doing tillage or something like that, the best thing I could figure was put head in fixed spot and put a mark on edge of cab frame where fresh dirt on left or right touched the cab based on that line of sight. With your head in a fixed spot you don't have parallax error and with...

What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

Yes, ordered... I don't know what grade hardness of what was originally in there, I'm not putting something else in there when it costs $12 OEM. If I was on my parents farm helping with harvest where every minute counted, of course, I'd make it work with something else instead of making trip...

What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

Nice pics @Gnome I especially like the one where you stopped and took one of the scenery. Man this country is so varied and beautiful, and that blue tractor looks great against that backdrop. Thanks for sharing! I'm stuck at a desk all week through Sunday, fun to see the images. To fit the...

What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

I'll let him answer for himself, but I'd expect it's a similar reason to myself: I need to get the whole stump and as much of roots out as possible for multiple foundations and tillage. I knew I needed a backhoe for most of my tasks and while I could benefit from a stump grinder for some jobs...

What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

That's disappointing for you. Thanks for bringing it here on the thread though, even though I couldn't help you, I now have some ideas for future purchases that would make me a lot more productive!

What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

One thought is you could look to buy something like this, then work to make it fit on your backhoe, basically you buy the tooth/ripper part, modify it to fit on your backhoe. I'd guess that would be too small so you'd have to either torch off the top bit, or just keep it and build it out so...

What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

I didn't even know what a ripper tooth was, but after a google search upon seeing your post I see the value in this. I found this video, seems easy enough for a homemade project that just needs to meet farmer DIY quality, I'm going to be looking at doing something similar myself. I think for me...

What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

I echo what others have said from my own experience. I used to have a small you tube channel where I did farming simulator videos, but the advice I'd get was the same. You are always your own worst critic! I no longer record gaming, but was obsessed with having the perfect audio, editing...

Grading LS MT225S W/4 FT Box Blade

Got my tractor and 5 foot box blade today. Only had about an hour to work with it but with all 5 shanks lowered the only time I had a problem was when it got caught on a root. I was smoothing out path dozer cleared trees from about a year ago, still a lot of roots leftover from that. Overall I...

Still Waiting For A LS MT342

Yeah, last month I remember reading a market report that John Deere has an $8.1 billion backlog of orders that they are working to fill. They've had a hard time hiring people and also part shortages slowing things down, like computer chips from overseas being one of them. The United States...

Grading LS MT225S W/4 FT Box Blade

Do any of y'all have a 5 ft box blade for the MT2 25s? It's what my dealer is recommending based on the weight of the tractor and what he's getting for his when he buys one soon himself. Not worried as he said I could trade it in for like full refund on 4 footer if it really doesn't work...

    Filters....again

OEM filters are made to manufacturer's specs where they have it in their best interest to ensure your engine lasts long past warranty. You may be buying an aftermarket filter that is better than OEM, but who really knows, there is a good chance aftermarket is cheaper because it is a cheaper...

    Buying Help LS MT350HE

Hey, neighbor! I'm up in Burnet and also dealing with John at RCO. From what research I've done, in general, dealers normally build in a little wiggle room because they know most people try to haggle a little bit. However, after looking a what price John offered me for my 225S (hope to get...

LS MT225S with 5 foot tiller impressive results

LS MT225S with 5 foot tiller impressive results

Yeah, at first I thought my dealer was exaggerating a bit when he said he had several guys move to this tractor who had experience on other brands and every one was surprised how much more capable this tractor was. I have since talked to several people and read stories like yourself that backed...

    >>>> SOLD<<<<<2020 LS MT225-S with backhoe and attachments for sale, also 20' trailer>>>SOLD<<<<<

Man, I just closed on a similar package with my dealer, if this had hit a few weeks earlier, I'd have jumped on it. To others considering this model, do your own research on pricing of course, but I think this is fair pricing based on what I paid new.

MT225s Backhoe - Thumb Bracket Too Weak?

I'm not certain, but I think you are wise to think twice about making that stronger. Did you talk to the dealer to see if it would be under warranty, I don't know about stuff like that. A good dealer should try and fight for you to get things covered, and I'd be a bit upset if something broke...

To buy MT357 Cab or not?

Well, figured I'd update yall in case interested, but I think I'll be taking a different route. I re-visited dealer today and saw the 225S, and had a good long thought about what I wanted vs what I actually needed, and it has everything I need. The 357HC is something I could have for a long...

To buy MT357 Cab or not?

Thanks @Cycledude that price difference is about what I found as well, it's just staggering. I do wonder though, if both brands have the same depreciation amount, it's just that LS starts off at a much lower price point so might seem like they hold their value less, but I haven't done any math...

Aftermarket Loaders like Westendorf vs brand matched?

Oh, that's a good point I didn't think about. I just watched an Ask Tractor Mike video and he mentioned that with backhoes it's mostly a few manufacturers making them for the name brands, not the name brands themselves making them, so makes sense it likely works the same way with Frontloaders.

How long before Compact Diesels are obsolete?

While I think the title of the thread from the OP was a bit overstated and I also agree that I don't think an electric tractor would ever work for me for the same reason as you, but if you think about most people with compact tractors they put 4 hours on them per week, I think it would very much...

Is 5065E a good deal for me?

I'm not trying to argue, I know you answered that about function of landplane, I was explaining why I cared more about the function of box blade vs land plane. If I don't need a box blade because I have more use of a land plane, then a key function of a box blade being rear ballast doesn't...

To buy MT357 Cab or not?

Lol, I take it you had a bad experience. I have more time off work next week and plan on stopping by LS dealer again. Is 5065E a good deal for me?

I wasn't asking for matter of rear ballast, I was asking about box blade function for my needs vs land plane. JD recommends just 3,000 pounds of weight on the 3 pt hitch as ballast I believe for this tractor, granted that's based on their loader not a Westendorf as that one has, I'd assume it's...

Is 5065E a good deal for me?

Thanks for your details, I wasn't aware tractors like that had foot pedals for throttle, but makes sense why when you explain it like that. Thanks for your input! That's good to know about the 5 series, thanks for that info. Regarding the box blade, I've never used one before, is it possible...

Is 5065E a good deal for me?

Ah, thanks about your thoughts, I noticed they were industrial tires but still looked a bit worn to me, but don't have much experience as to what looks worn there. Regarding the transmission, since I don't have any experience with loader work, I'm asking if there's much of a difference between...

Is 5065E a good deal for me?

What do you guys think? I've got two main questions: 1. What do you think about the price, assuming no abnormal oil leaks or other damage? I see the rear tire tread is pretty much gone, how much you estimate is left? Anyone had to replace those tires before and know roughly how much they...

Aftermarket Loaders like Westendorf vs brand matched?

I've been wondering, does anyone have any experience in pricing a used tractor(in 50-70 HP range) without a front loader and then buying an aftermarket one like Westendorf (I'm assuming dealer brand would be more pricey) after? Do you save any money there? Or have you found that it is better...

    Kioti vs LS buying advice

That's what I meant but I didn't explain it very well I guess. I didn't mean only two models, I meant two lines within the MT3 series [MT3 and MT3E]. So the Original Poster could get the MT345HE for the hydrostatic economy model or MT347H or MT342H for their premium model (I was wrong, they...

    Summit third function kits ?

That's a great forum Tim, thanks for suggesting that! I'm all about DIY as are most here so it's great to see a forum like that for power! Despite having several large wind farms directly connected to the part of the Grid I operate, I hadn't really considered that for my home. I live in...

    Kioti vs LS buying advice

@carl_lopezIs Just an FYI if you weren't aware, the LS MT3 series has two models, anything with an "E" is your economy model. The models without an "E" in the name for the MT3 series are the premium, they come standard with things like rear remotes and better seats and I forget what else. My...

Thanks all for taking time to write! Some of y'all write long answers, I love it! I feel right at home here! Summit third function kits ?

Does LS not have a part kit for this, or is the Summit one still cheaper or better quality?
