Ok, my gp relay which is right next to the ECM shorted out and took out the ECM supposedly. Ended up with a new relay and ECM. The new ECM had to be flashed by Mahindra so it had to be at the dealer. The new flash job now causes the ECM to operate the glow plugs every time the ignition is used...

I believe the timer is the ECM. Check the wiring going to the relay and the ECM making sure it's not frayed/shorting. Is your engine Mitsubishi or Daedong?

Lake effect machine on here again also. No school yesterday and today!

I think we're looking at an old rebuilt Oshkosh, customized for a snowplow. We have had several of them over the years here in Otsego County.

I would use a multi-meter to see if the power goes on and off with the headlight/taillight switch.

Hi Darrell, aside from the error light which may remain a mystery, is the starter turning(cranking) the motor or does it do nothing when you hit the key? Happy New Year's Eve!

Our deer camp is in the banana belt north of Hermansville. Cold without snow is the worse kind of cold!

Check the shifter linkage to make sure it's free, or nothing caught in there. How is it when you shift just to neutral?

The blowers Mahindra uses are by Bercomac out of Canada. I have one now in it's 7th winter here in Northern Michigan. It's mounted to my eMax 25 cab. May be a different pto size than the Max 25.....does the job!

....but do check that brake switch also. Could be some junk not allowing it to activate.

I have the eMax 25 and have gone through several brake light bulbs. Check those if ya haven't already. The brake light assembly gets pretty warm when the tractor is idling with the parking brake applied. The dash brake indicator hopefully is on Mahindra's wish list for future eMax models!! I may...

Another question....is it blinking after the tractor is running or when the key is turned to "accessory-glow plug" before cranking the motor?

Hi Matt, Be sure to check/clean all your grounds at the battery and chassis. Been fooled by the chassis ground more than once! Also, my eMax has a group of large fuses near the battery up front. I had a really damp and humid morning and the tractor was comatose. Had it hauled to the dealer...

Hi Jimmy, check and clean the battery and chassis ground. Just went through the same thing on one of my tractors. New battery, new ignition, checked starter and all relays and it turned out to be the battery chassis ground needed a good cleaning.

Reaching for the stars here as I have an eMax, but I had the same "idle only" situation. Discovered a broken/bad fan belt and caused the ECU to hold at idle rpm.

Does the wiper have a washer installed with a 2 or 3 swipe cycle? My eMax does and in the winter I disconnect the washer pump so when the washer position is cycled, it won't start the pump every time it is cycled....

Brass is apparently "happy" with the GL-4 spec and can be found in some marine gearcase lube.....

Is the black strobe bottom metal or plastic?

In keeping it off topic for another minute, had dinner there during our "color tour" this fall and used to play some "classic rock" there a few years back....

In front behind the battery. I now put dryer softener sheets behind the battery and seems to eliminate the problem.

Hi Harry, there should be 4 hydraulic connections to the loader and disconnecting those should be the only thing 'ya have to do..... Joe H.

If it's like mine, press the HST pedal to the speed ya want, hold the cruise lever up, then while holding it up start to release the HST pedal. It should hook into one of the cruise notches. It'll release when ya hit the HST pedal or brake. Throttle sound like it needs a little snugging up at...

Are the glow plugs working properly? My eMax 25 has the Daedong engine . It's good but cold blooded! I had an occasion the plugs didn't work and it was a tough start with stalling, choking and puking!

Not an expert or mechanic here, but the video from the OP sounds like it's only hitting on two cylinders......

Ya know Justin, I have only turned it left a couple times. If you right turn to start it will cycle the plugs again. So to answer whether it times out if ya hold it left....I dunno🤤. There are folks on this board that know and may chime in....guess I could look in the manual.....lol Joe

Hi Justin. I have the eMax 25 cab, 2017. Correct that the plugs light with left turn holding the key. Right turn should light them also. Mine stays on for up to 30 seconds. Depending on the year and which ECU it has, mine originally would not light with right turn if the engine was very warm/hot...

Cory, I really don't see a problem unless the field pipes are not as deep as they should be. But as you say, the tines shouldn't penetrate that deep.....

Hi Double Hunter, I wrecked a fan belt when my eMax was less that a week old..(dumb move on my part). Got it back to the barn, but the ecm would only let it idle until i put the new belt on. Joe H.

In some cases, I believe Carlisle and Titan are one in the same.....I have 3 Wheel Horses using 9.50x23x12 tires. Neighbor gave me a brand new Carlisle ag tire and I went to the local tire shop and bought an identical tire with the Titan label.

Just had my eMax 25 right front done by the dealer under the powertrain warranty. I happened to notice another unit there undergoing the same surgery. Didn't appear to be extremely invasive. Are you still under powertrain warranty?

I had to watch several times in full screen. It appears that the rear trailer axle locks up when starting to jackknife just before the trailer hits the car although no tire smoke. Possibly not enough gain....but still a dufus situation!

Have experienced the same "blend" situation here. Locally, it is called "Gaylord Mix"; mostly rye grass which will grow on a cue ball, but isn't the best for longevity. We fill in with Kentucky Blue Grass or fescue suitable for our climate and shade/sun situation once the rye is established.

330 gal. tank here. Don't own it. Gas company suggested the smaller tank as we do burn some wood and the smaller tank fills more often and helps fit their route schedule. Filled in November at 2.09 and again yesterday at 2.19. Seems reasonable.....

Ok on the Mitsubishi. Not sure then on the glow plug cycling. My Daedong is notoriously cold blooded and needs to cycle a few times. The pumpguy is also on to something. I also use Powerservice White Bottle in my fuel for a little ctane boost and anti gel.

Hi Gary, I have to cycle the glow plugs 2 or 3 time to get it to fire and stay running. Also using an in-line radiator hose heater which really helps cut down on initial start clatter and reduced smoke. Does yours have the Daedong engine?

I was fortunate my local dealer stocks the Construction Attachments Inc.(CA) brand. Good weight and capacity. Mine is rated 1800lbs, I believe the new version is 2200lbs and still has a reasonable weight.... Joe

Hi Rick. I went with a 42" fork as many pallets are around 4' wide, at least in the business I owned. Also, I move snowmobiles around from time to time. I made up a custom 4x8 reinforced pallet for that purpose. My eMax 25 handles it well. I think your 20s is close to the weight of my 25s. Joe H.

I concur having lived in Gaylord 61 of my 66 years. Mid to late '80's was a snowy time. Built and moved in to our current home in early '87 and I recall many 12 to 20" lake effect snow dumps especially in December. Snow removal consisted of our 1965 Wheel Horse 1055 w/ single stage blower and...

I used the Katz pan heater for a couple years, worked pretty well. Then had my dealer install a bottom radiator hose heater. Half hour to 45 minutes and ready to go. Beyond 45 min. the glow plugs won't come on due to engine being above plug cutoff temp. Just let it sit a few minutes, or I crank...

Hi Tim, I would make sure it is out of 4wd then drive forward and back a few times in a straight line. Maybe try forward/reverse quickly....may release the tension. Don't need tension 'ya know ;)

My eMax 25 "blacked out"...turned out to be a 40amp fuse in a separate holder near the battery.

Most blowers require 180deg./ alternate. Had mine lined up on my Bercomac by mistake and it was noticeable. Joe H.

Hi rdinatal, the adaptor my dealer provided is a Worksaver Item# 835140, McCormic 125c Adaptor to ss with pins. My eMax has the two hydraulic cylinders, thus the McCormic style. If you have the single cylinder, it is listed under subcompact Mahindra.

I did do this two years ago with my eMax 25. Can't remember which brand my dealer set me up with. Will look tomorrow and reply. It works well and glad I did it. Did loose a little curl. When the bucket is level on flat ground there is very little curl available on my setup. Quickly got used to...

He may or may not have the same. The owners manual doesn't mention these fuses and being large and not looking like a fuse holder I overlooked them. My dealer found the blown fuse and could state no cause and has been good for several years. The morning it happened, everything metal inside and...

My eMax 25 has three individual larger inline fuse holders up front next to the battery. Same symptoms: one of the 40amp fuses had blown.

My Emax25 suffered a similar situation but not 100% if it was the same code a couple years ago. Turned out to be the glow plug relay. Dealer replaced it and has been fine since then.
