Letting the engine idle to long can soot up the EGR valve and cause it to stick. Next time you have the engine idling a while through it wide open and note if the engine stumbles and huffs a lot of black smoke till it reaches high RPM. That's a sign the EGR is loading up.:thumbsup:

Check all the little grey vacuum lines.. be sure none have popped of their port or are cracked or chewed up by rats... this is very common with 6530s...

If not there you may look into advancing the fuel pump... usually works wonders on 30series tractors

5 Blinks is a EGR valve malfunction. Are you letting the engine idle for long periods?:confused3:
I have an emax 22 with flashing light 1 long 1 short. Any ideas
