    What Make and Model?

Can anyone identify what make and model this lawn tractor is? It has a 17 hp Vanguard engine, a 42 " deck, and is labeled as a Limited Edition. There is no ID plate or sticker on it. At first glance I thought it might be a Craftsman built by MTD. Any help would be appreciated.

    Starter Motor XG3037

Well, I thought I had the starting issue solved, but it turned out that the clutch pedal safety switch was not the issue. It wouldn't start again and turns out it is the solenoid on the starter...had it bench tested to make sure. Has anyone else had any luck replacing just the solenoid on an LS...

    Starter Issue XG3037

The starter motor on my XG3037 started sounding funny the last several times I started my XG3037. Today after having turned it off while I did some other work, it wouldn't start. No click or any sound at all. Battery checked out fine at 12.9 volts, switch checked out fine, seat switch checked...

    Lower Radiator Hose Heater XG3037

Has anyone installed a Kats Lower Radiator Hose Heater on a XG3037? I think the one I need is the 16600 1.5" model, but am not 100% sure. It appears that there is limited space to install this, bases on it's dimensions, so was hoping someone has already done this and had some advice. Thanks.

    FRAM PS4922 Fuel/Water Separator Filter

Does anyone happen to use this filter on your LS tractor and, if so, does it have the sensor connector on the bottom? These are about 1/4th to 1/3rd the cost of the original and other brands.

    PTO/Blade Engagement Cable

I have a Bolens (MTD) lawn tractor, model 13AM762F765, and have replaced the pto cable, part 946-04173E, three times in one year. Cable breaks at same spot where it attaches to the pto engagement handle. Seems to be a very poor design. Anyone else having this issue? Is there a better...

    Sprayer Setup

Today I finished setting up my spot sprayer and the electrical for it on my carryall platform. Now I can spot spray the fence line and those small troublesome bramble areas. I had previously install a 12v power port on the left side of the dash console and will be using this to supply...

    Mystery Part

Found a small black rubber part, approx. 2" tall by 1.5" wide, on the trail that I drive my tractor on a lot. Figured it might be from my tractor, but darned I can figure it out. Thought I would post some pictures of it and see if anyone knows what it is and where it goes. What do you think it is?

    Love My Blue Mule

Have had numerous days of zero or below zero temperatures, snow, and freezing rain over the last 10 days and my Blue Mule (XG3037) has been a champ through it all. It has started easily every time and the 4W traction has been wonderful negotiating some steep inclines. I keep it in the barn when...

    12v Power Port

I am thinking about installing a 12v power port on my XG3037 and wondered if anyone else had done the same and where. I am thinking about installing it on the lower half of the console cover on the left side and would wire it directly to the battery with inline 15amp fuse protection. This would...

    Oil Filter Question

The OEM oil filter for my XG3037 is a 40283380 ($32.49) which cross references to a WIX 57000 ($20.86) which cross references to a Fram PH3614 ($4.19). My questions are....how can there be such price differences and is there really any advantage in using the much higher priced filters?

    Coolant/Anti-Freeze Question

I have been trying to figure out which coolant I need to for my XG3037. The manual says that I need at coolant that satisfies ASTM5216, but then I read somewhere that a ethylene glycol based coolant that meets ASTM 6210 would also satisfy ASTM5216. My local farm supply carries the Peak Fleet...

    FEL Issue

The 3109 FEL on my XG3037 is raising very, very slowly and the bucket seems to develop some slack or play when left in position after a few minutes. The FEL also seems to be straining to reach maximum height. This all started suddenly today for no apparent reason. Tractor has 160 hrs and was...

    FYI on Parts

Most of the parts for my LS are also available through my local New Holland dealer. Only difference is the NH part number has the MT prefix. I knew that LS manufactures a great portion of the NH line of tractors, but was curious about parts so I did a little research. I will always try to...

    Tale of Two Inteks

In the span of one week, I have had to replace the head gaskets on both of my lawn tractors. One is a Troy-Bilt and the other is a Craftsman. Both have B&S single piston OHV Intek engines; TB has a 17.5hp and the Craftsman has a 20.0hp. The repair is fairly straightforward (there are also some...

    Floating Duck House

After numerous unsuccessful attempts to round up our ducks at the end of the day (they preferred staying on the pond at night), my wife and I decided to provide them some shelter on the water using a repurposed small chicken coop. Post Hole Digger and a Novice

I hooked up my new Speeco 65 post hole digger to my LS XG3037 today, but not sure this is correct: As you can see, the bracket on the boom of the PHD (2" wide) will not fit inside the top link mounting bracket (inside clearance is 1.75") which forced me to offset it. Is this normal or am I...

Considering LS XG3037 with LL3109 Loader

I am considering the LS XG3037 with a LL3109 FEL for my small farm operation. Will primarily use it to lift/move 4x5 bales of hay (700-900 lbs max), mow approx. 30 acres 2-3 times a year, and then just general bucket work. It appears from all of the specs that the XG3037 should be able handle...
