BX Hood Shake

I put bumpers on mine and it helped a lot. Another area for a noise is a improperly adjusted MMM that does not contact the stops when it is up.

Maybe the nature of 3 cylinder engines.

My L3240 was a three cylinder and it had no shake at shut off.

If you find that annoying you wouldn't like an early VW diesel--they did the same thing, but I considered it a tradeoff for getting 50 mpg. It's a diesel engine with solid motor mounts in a small vehicle. Later on VW switched to rubber motor mounts and things really smoothed out. Perhaps Kubota will do the same thing.

Interesting discussion .. my theory on the hood shake is that its caused by the flywheel being at the front where the engine is suspended on rubber mounts.

On the b2200 I used to have I used an adhesive insulation foam strip on each side where the hood contacts the sides. Stopped most of the noise. My 2012 2620 doesn't make a sound when shutting down....maybe luck?

Glad to hear that as I just signed the deal to trade the BX in on a new B2620.
