New Design Tie Rod Guards For The NX Series Tractors

I finally made the new guards for my NX4510HST. I couldn't find a local fab shop to bend me up two pieces of 1/8" thick by 4.5" wide steel plates to match the contour of the original design. I bought a piece of 1/8" x 1 1/4" x 36" steel. Using my bench vise and a 2 1/2" OD socket I made up 8...

What kind of grease is this white grease.

This grease is very thick, slimey and sticky. The part is the inner tie rod end on a Kioti NX4510HST tractor. I know that there is some kind of nylon or mylar lining inside the cup as I have installed grease fittings on them. When I drilled the 1/8" hole white plastic came out after I broke thru...

    New NX4510HST Tie Rods Installed

Today I installed my new tie rod end sets. First I altered them by installing grease fittings in both ends. The outer ends were simple to do. The inner took a bit of ingenuity. I drilled an angled 1/8" hole from the backside into the ball socket area. Next came a vertical hole to intersect the...

    DIY ballast box

I had some fun today making a 3 point hitch ballast weight. $10 barrel, $20 receiver trailer hitch, $32 for the 3 point hitch drawbar and almost $60 for (12) 80 pound bags of concrete. The vertical tubing came from a piece of scrap that I salvaged from an old storage rack end that I have had...

We had a 27 inch snowstorm last week. I somehow bent both of my tilt cylinders on my loader. I was able to straighten one of them out. The other one snapped when I tried to straighten it out. Fan Blade Rubbing NX4510HST

    Building your own trailer????????

Has anyone done this? Where did you find the plans. I can get 2 trailer axles 5K for $200.00 with brakes. Is it worth it to make my own 18 foot trailer? I really can't afford to buy one right now. How about converting a boat trailer to a flatbed? Has anyone done this? TIA.

Can you run both PTO's at once?

Can you run both PTO\'s at once? My Cub is my first tractor with 2 PTO's. So I am wondering if both can be run at once? I have a 72" MMM and was thinking of buying a rear brush hog mower deck for knocking down the edges of my fields while I mow.

Where\'s the cheapest place to buy a B&S starter? My 18 hp TwinII Briggs&Stratton blew the starter windings today. It is almost 10 years old. Anyone know the cheapest place to find a new starter for it?

Mid-Mower destruction of the 3rd kind

Yesterday I put a new set of hardened blades on my Woods 6' MMM. I figured that I should at least try it out to see how it works. I can honestly say that it does mow 6-8" grass with no hesitation. The only problem was that I was cutting a new area. My farmer friend use to brush hog this for me...

Need pictures of FEL stands for a 7275 or larger.

I need some pictures of the stands that are used for the 7275 FEL when removed. There is a decal on my tractor that tells how to use them. I do not have a set for holding up the FEL when it is removed from the tractor. I can however make a set of them. I would just like to have an idea of what...

My first time use and the Box Blade

I put my new TSC 6' box blade to work yesterday finally. What a thrill to see what this unit can do. I tore right though 1"-1 1/2" roots with it and leveled off part of my logging road to my 36 acre woodlot. Sure beats the heck out of useing the grader blade or loader.

A filthy picture of my 7275

I have been so busy using this machine that I have yet to clean it up. I have put over 20 hours on it since I got it. This next winter will get it looking decent. I will be tearing it down for some new paint and whatever else needs to be done to it. I sure don't miss the clutch pedal or brakes...

I am going to TSC tomorrow. Do they carry filters for Cub Cadet's and what else can I find there? I would like to get a set of teeth for my bucket and who knows what else while I'm there.

    Front driveshaft info.

Here is a little info that may save some of you a few dollars if you use your 4wd tractor a lot or plan to keep it for many years. Sunday I was tearing into my recently purchased used 7275 Cub Cadet . I decided to pull the somewhat tight front driveshaft out to lube up the splines as they were...

King Kutter prices, Almost choked on this.

Today I called my local tractor/farm supply for a 6 foot KK box blade. This unit sells at TSC for $368.52. My local farm store quoted me a price of (sit down for this one) $699.00. I had all I could do to keep from laughing at him. The nearest TSC store is 131 miles away. I think for that price...

    Apology

I see that the link posting of dogbegonecom was not to some folks liking here. I will apologize for putting it up. There is one thing that bothers me though. If you do not like these type of things, why did you open it? It was very obvious what the site was by the name of it. I do feel for the...

Parts CD for the 7275 ub Cadet??

Does anyone make a parts CD for this tractor. My dealer has problems finding parts due to the way Cub has set up the parts list. I figure I can save both of us a lot of time if I know what I need before I call them up.

    Loading Tires???????????

Has anyone ever loaded their own tires? What did you put in them Calcium, antifreeze, etc?????. Where did you get a pump to fill them or did you make one?

    7275 finally home

After many calls in the last week and a half, my tractor showed up tonight at 9:00pm. The dealer has two guys out for medical reasons and was extremely buried with work. He hired a pool company to deliver the Cub. I needed the tractor for this weekend. They got lost coming from from VT. No easy...

    Seat belts

Do you wear them on your tractor? I had a Ford 8N for over 20 years. I flipped it twice doing nutty things in my younger days. Like flying around the house with a bucket of mud (slanted backyard). I'm sure that I would have been pretty hurt if I was wearing a belt. Both ties I launched myself...

    Went and did it today.

The wife and I decided a new tractor was out of the question. So off I went in search again today for a used one. I decided to head to Walt's place up in Berlin Vermont seeing how I was going to be 20 minutes from there this morning. I took his 1995 Cub 7275 for a spin and had some fun with it...
