I've never seen or heard of that kind of setup before, but apparently some have. Oddly enough.

Agreed. There aren't pumps that pump diesel and gas out the same nozzle. There aren't pumps that pump diesel and DEF out the same nozzle. The pumps draw from a holding tank, there isn't some sort of solenoid that switches between which tank the fuel is drawn from.

Anyone who says they've seen pumps that pump both out of the same nozzle don't know what they're looking at.

What if the person before you got DEF and you ask it for diesel? I KNOW that if a gas pump offers Regular, Mid, and high test that if the person before you got high test and you ask it for regular, you so in fact get *some* high test. How much I don;t know. I would certainly speak to the manager immediately. I would convince the place to shut that pump down until a proper answer is known.

There is no pump out there that's dispensing gas and diesel from the same nozzle, let alone diesel and DEF! The DEF is behind a door to protect it from freezing. Go and look at the pumps and you'll see that! The OP even admitted that he didn't see the door for the DEF.

If there was such a pump, the lawsuits would be through the roof!

Having different grades of gasoline from same nozzles is fine as it's the same type of fuel.
