I took a different approach. I built the road up and have big ditches on each side. The wind blows the snow to the ditches.

No need to plow...

Ask me how many years it took to figure that out...

Should of only taken one year to figure that out in the winter wind capitol of the Lower 48. If it blows trucks off the road, why not the snow?

How do y'all remove snow? Plow truck, snowblower, 3-point back blade, etc.
Our primary snow mover is the 1989 Jeep Cherokee XJ with a 6'6" Western snowplow. It does a real good job with a front diff lock, 5 speed with the 4.0L. It's nice to have a heated cab. Traction becomes an issue in wet, sloppy spring snows though. View attachment 4419913
With my SSV65 with a snowblower, the B2601 with a plow and now a sander, or lastly my old L2250 with a fixed plow. The driveway is 800 ft long. A couple of times I've had to use my BCS 725 snowblower. There are times that we get almost 30" of snow from a storm here.

Now days I plow snow by sitting in the recliner until it melts. We have not been getting snow for the past several years like we used to, maybe an inch or so that melts off reasonably quick and I for one am DARN glad of it.

We're not getting as much here either. Ground was bare most of the winter except for this surprise 12 incher:

Now just hope that Chevy (oops, GMC) holds up... ;)
Was kind of wondering the same thing about the guy who used the 80s vintage tacoma.

Keeping it pretty simple here:
Loader's not ideal, but I only have a couple hundred-foot driveway so it does the job. Would be nice to have a blade where I could adjust the angle, but then it wouldn't fit in the garage.

We don't get the "real" snow here very much. Primary tool is the 8' Fisher on the L4240. Third function for left/right. The blower was sold along with the L3200 I had because it wasn't a good fit for the plowing I do.

I like that underslung plow principle.

I usually enjoy removing snow. Not today. Heavy wet snow. Trees down everywhere. Hidden branches in the snow. No frozen base. Broken shearpin. A pain to clean up afterward. Bah Humbug

Still took care of all of the neighbors

My new 6' snowpusher worked excellent in this wet heavy snow with a rubber scraper. Didn't curl NEARLY as much turf as I usually do with my 86'' Dozer blade (That I'm selling). Will use this until I have inverted snowblower surface to work with. Did I mention it is MUCH faster workflow with this pusher.

We're under a winterstorm watch for tomorrow into Friday.
Well, depends on which weather i watch. Some show minor snow, some show no snow but rather rain. One shows neither. Guess ill have to wait and see.

I have all my winter snow gear set up to install on the tractor, but havent done it yet. I dont like damaging the roads with the chains, which happens if i install them too early. I may go ahead and install the hydraulic power pack and hoses on the tractor this wekend….well see.
