Good morning!!!!

50 going to 65...clouds hung around most of the day, but should be departing soon.

Kil, I'd have a tough time working at that Ag office...would be staring out the window all the time.

Buppies, glad the job is done.

BEF, looks like the train trip was a winner. Hope the food was good.

Mowed a couple of hours yesterday...the frisbee field was a jungle, will need to mow it one more time just to lower the deck a bit and take care of the clippings, then frost should take of it.

Completed reconnecting the woodstove, and fired it up before sunset for a test...nice and toasty warm now. Will let it go out later this morning.
It is difficult to find places without good views here.

the views from our Walmart freakin’ PARKING LOT are wonderful!

I enjoy everyone’s pics also. I should do a better job commenting on them. And Thomas sure does buy a lot of critter food, no wonder he’s always working.
Taking the cook out to eat is a good thing also.
Don’t know yet what I’ll do today.
Another pic from yesterday, going into the trough, a section of river tight between 2 mountains. Many eagles in this area. Reflections on windows made it hard to get good pics.

Ron...I know I haven't written enough about how much I enjoy your catching the moment wildlife pictures each morning :( thanks for sharing.
Thanks. It’s something I enjoy doing. Gets me out of the house or looking out windows to see what is happening out there.

Question for Don re: Auction:

there is a $25 Mailing Fee plus bid plus actual shipping.

is that per item? Or is it one time regardless of number of items?
IMG_4807.jpeg

because That potentially means, if it is per item, that if I bid on five items I need to shell out $125 on top of the other $$$. . . Sortakinda changes the equation a bit… if it is a single charge it isn’t too bad…

Good morning, the low is 40 and going to a high of 56°F. Wind E 6 mph. 30% chance of showers beginning near noon.

On the way to the dump I will be moving a freezer for the neighbour lady and picking up whatever she has to go to the dump, too.

I cannot put the trailer into its' winter home until the next tarp is put up, but I am not all that sure it will get put up today/tomorrow or the next day due to rain in the forecast.

I have a few birch trees on this property, all the rest are pine and tamarack/larch.

I had a picture of a woodpecker cleaning up the house, I cant find it now.

Have a safe day all

Back tree about bare

Wngsprd, food on train very good, a little small on portioning. I got pork, potatoes and green beans. Wife got fish. They offer couch with no meal, box lunches, 3 course, 4 course and 5 course meals. All for a price. They also have a concession area. We did not go to the open car to view.
Had 2 young teenage ladies(from Houston Tx)with their Aunt across from us. Since we were on the river side of the train and they couldn’t see eagles well from that side, on return trip my wife sat next to me and we let them sit at our table on other side to see better. Very nice young ladies.

Every year I start thinking a trip on the Polar Express . But like every other year I wait to long to make reservations.

Morning all, 48 going up to 66 and cloudy
Fire pit finished, more halloween decorations put up and down the driveway with lighting.

Ron's pictures always a great way to start the morning.

BEF - train ride looks like a success and great views.

Still need to do some cleanup, split some wood, get house ready for some friends to visit etc.

MRI still a week out, ugh.

Got the permit sent vs. going over there, $143 and a friendly person on the other side emailed me the whole kit. Need a mechanical inspection to complete final, no electrical etc.

Be well, back to wacky day job

46 outside right about now, heading to lower 60's.

Fall is upon us. Trees have yellowed out, as opposed to mellowing. LOL.

Collecting firewood, working on Milk House and still trying to engage a plumber. One guy backed out of the job, at least he called back.

Lots going on.... had another medical insurance disagreement. $$$$. Pretty sad. People just not doing their jobs.

Hope all have a great week, be safe.

Belated B-Day wishes, good health and positive thoughts to those that celebrated.

You would have to call or text Tonya, her number is on the website, good question. I wish I could just take care of everything but it's such a massive amount of stuff and I need to pull some of the house cleaning bottles out of the auction to clean the house siding and get it ready to sell. I'm also getting my after surgery knee machine delivered today and meeting with the probate lawyer. Plus it is 1.5 hour drive each way to the house.
If you need some better pics on items text me.

Good Morning
47 going to 65 under partly cloudy skies. Another dry day.

Yesterday’s breakfast was nice, wife and I went to Costco directly from breakfast. That meant we had the new Prius to fit everything in, and that we didn’t have the shopping list. Everything fit easily, didn’t even have to fold the back seats down. I was concerned because the larger battery raises the floor of the cargo area, making it smaller.
And the only thing that we forgot was pineapple juice.

Vultures like the dead trees along the lane…

I took orders for some more speakers, so I’ll be busy in the shop again. Actually started yesterday.

So today will be back in the shop making sawdust. Not much else planned, but we’ll see what pops up. The manure bin is pretty full, someone wanted a truck load, and their truck is a 33,000 lb six wheel dump truck, so that will lower the pile, I’ll likely pressure wash the loader afterwards as well. And once the pressure washer is out, other dirty stuff comes out of the wood work. And that’s how the typical day with no plans goes.

Good Morning Guys,
Ct, 46 to start going to 63 !

BEF, looks like a great ride and good food, thanks for sharing those beautiful pics !

Kilroy, also thanks for those pics along with Ron, amazing bird pictures !

I think we are getting close to peak in Ct now, and as I see the weather changing on Friday and Saturday with a rain and wind event. That’s going to really impact the foliage ! Hope to get some nice shots today before it gets ruined !

Hope all have a blessed and safe day!! 🙏

Pix are good! But there are 8 items I have bookmarked, and depending on the answer I get there is a $175 difference in potential added expense 😳

Good Morning!!!! 62F @ 5:15AM. Sunny. High near 90F. Winds light and variable.
Chances for rain on Sunday are increasing, as is the amount. All the way up to 0.23". Still better than nothing but not much.

Very impressive, gstrom99, the garage in a garage. That's the stuff dreams are made of!

Power was off for a couple hours yesterday morning. Lots of complaints on Facebook from the neighbors, as we've had several "unplanned outages" lately. I wonder of the lightning storm a few weeks ago is still causing trouble on the grid?

Managed to push the little Honda up into the van yesterday, but it took all I had. Just getting it up to the garage was a struggle owing to the steep slope and slippery gravel. That tired my legs out to the point I really struggled getting it up the ramp and into the van. Must be gettin' old or sumthin'. Spent the rest of the day packing boxes and loading them into the van, two book cases worth, and a Bowflex machine and finally the big miter saw.

My friend is coming over this morning to take another swipe at the VW wiring. Still waiting on gaskets for the intake manifold, but we'll hopefully get all the old wiring off and figure out where all the new wires go.

Then figure out what else, besides the last two motorcycles, goes into the trailer. Plenty to choose from.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

56F and partly cloudy @ 12:00, heading up to 60F for the day's high.

Today's version of the Ten Day forecast is much improved: now up to 6 days with highs in the 60's and only 3 days with a chance of rain ... (y)

Did not get anything done on the softener valve yesterday ... :(

Did manage to catch the second half of Ken Burns' documentary on the American Buffalo on PBS which was a worthwhile watch.

Woman just took payment for the septic up to the mailbox, announced "We have grass !" when came back inside.

Will probably check the front lawn and see if it needs mowed.

Then maybe work on making some more holes in the weed block fabric for the strawberry plants.

Hope everyone has a decent Wednesday ... (y)
