I really did not know the history of named Winter Storms until today. The recent naming started with TWC. And the NWS has good reason not to name Winter storms: "In a November 2012 memo, it requested that its employees avoid referring to storms by name.[9][22] NWS spokesperson Susan Buchanan stated, "The National Weather Service does not name winter storms because a winter storm's impact can vary from one location to another, and storms can weaken and redevelop, making it difficult to define where one ends and another begins."[23]"- Wiki (for better or worse). No more named Winter storm use by me

It started to lightly snow here around 3:00PM. Temperature 24ºF

The cat has an infection in her eyes. The vet gave us eye drops, 1 drop 3 times a day in each eye for 7 days

There is supposed to be a 'wintery mix' coming my way. The powers that be predict 5-10cm (2-4"). With my luck it will be 5-10". That is okay, I have the equipment to handle that.

I would fix it like this. I think this is how I did it 30 years ago.

Most motorcycle ice racers on this side of the pond put special grip screws in their knobby tires. I don't believe I've ever seen them in America using the super long spikes that let them lean over really far.

The small screws keep it more like flat track. And not much is flatter than a frozen pond.

Changed meds a week ago. BP shot up the last couple of days. Went to doctor. Put me back on my old med for now. New appt next next week. Never had BP so high. Kind of worried me. He said not to worry.

OK.

Don has some sage advice about distance from a coronary ICU. I live in a medical desert. So did he, but he moved.

I would guess this could be the reason that many head back to the city.
