This is how you do inside 90s with these blocks and get them to interlock with pins. Outside 90s need 3-sided corner blocks which I'll show this coming week.

Pretty uneventful block stacking at this point. Backfilling everything by hand, at least up to the third course. Might just build up everything and then backfill with a bobcat all at once later in the week. Still have the long straight section to do.

Recently had my gas forced hot air furnace circa 1983 serviced and the tech ran a carbon monoxide meter on the vent closest to the furnace. We stopped checking after about 30 minutes and PPM was up to 28. He didn't seem too comfortable with that. Just curious, what would you consider safe levels?

Put in 3 inch perforated pvc with sleeve behind the second course. Not a ton of room back there on the low courses but it opens up as the elevation rises. This drain will run the length of the wall and then where it has the T and runs under the second course of blocks, it will run down to dump...

Somebody, not saying who, got a little too close to the cable line that wasn't buried but rather just sitting on top of the hillside. So that needed a new conduit and RG11 coaxial cable. Well run it in front of the retaining wall for future access if necessary.

These photos show the process step by step from plain wood through coating with the minwax wood effects. Let it dry overnight and then the final step is staining and polyurethane.

Was told that in testing the R14T only had about 5-10% more slippage in field applications than R1 lug. Similar to R4 performance. Roading much better than R1 lug. Technically R14T is an R1 with a unique tread pattern that they are calling R14T.
