That is weird.

I always post from pc, not phone. I get those weird characters within text I am quoting. Obviously the apostrophe is encoded differently than intended.

You would think VBulletin (the software here) could properly interpret something that another poster wrote under VBulletin software in a prior post .... but no.

Oh well, I figure I’m good enough at inferring what people mean most of the time if that happens in their text.

Mocked up the YFL1500 cross member tonight on some wooden blocks to see how I am going to attach it to my YM2000BD. This is that loader I drug off of a parted out 336D.

The ends of the cross member tubes stick out to about the width of the rear tires, the bottom of the loader feet clamp around those tubes about an inch inward on each side.

I am going to bring some cardboard home tomorrow so that I can make some templates to cut out some 3/8” plate to make side supports that go from the cross member up to the 2nd set of vertical bolts on the tractor engine/frame area.
I will also use some 1/4” plate to make 2 brackets to mount to the 4 bolts under the transmission, and possibly later decide to run two pieces of square tube back to each side of the draw bar for extra strength.

You need that structure back to the rear axle so you you don't split the tractor at the bellhousing.

I took this photo to show the old-guy step I added. (with oversize rear tires it is a narrow, high climb to get aboard). The photo also shows one of the members to the rear that alleviate the split-the-tractor stress at the bellhousing. The only stress there is simple downward weight.

Those of you with the loafers on a YM2000, how does it handle without having power steering?

I had a company tell me they wouldn’t sell me a loader because my tractor was too small basically to have one, the steering wouldn’t hold up and that my front axle would fall apart.

We've seen that happen on here. I think one of the posters has broken spindles.

My (US model) YM240 is a YM2000 with green paint - but it has what is apparently is the optional loader-ready front axle. This axle is adjustable for width. I expect it is simply the axle for one of Yanmar's larger models.

I have never had a problem with the axle but both front wheels have been welded up, apparently after the hubs were nearly ripped out of them. And one of these welded wheels is clearly a replacement - it has '$20-' written on it.

I obtained replacement wheels during my initial renovation of the tractor when I bought it, but so far have only put one into service - when I had a flat tire repaired. I can't imagine what a prior owner did to rip the centers out of two wheels and then one replacement. Backing up fast with the wheels cramped then hitting a curb is the only thing I can imagine. I haven't had a problem.

Steering at a standstill is impossibly stiff with a big load in the bucket. Not too bad after you get moving. If a tight slow turn is needed, drop the bucket and power-down to get a front tire off the ground, turn as needed, raise the bucket and proceed in the new direction. This works fine for occasional loader use. If I needed a loader daily I would get a different tractor with PS and factory-matched loader.

Well stated, and about how I feel about it as well.

Eventually I’ll probably build a smaller bucket for this loader, as I know it’s a bit oversize for this tractor, and its bottom is rusted out, and filled over with a steel plate.

I'm on my phone now I still see it wacky.

My project this week is figuring how to adapt the cross member from the 336D fitting YFL1500 front loader to fit my little YM2000BD.
After searching a few pictures and some sent over by California, I think I致e got a plan figured out.

Also, I致e found that the tach/hour meter cable did in fact break internally, so I am waiting for the new one to get here from Hoye.
This is posted from my phone. See the wacky contractions.

And just like that, the cross member for a 336D now fits a YM2000BD!
Even though I had some 3/8 plate available, I had to resort to using 1/4” due to available tooling.
I am going to the metal yard in the AM to source some metal to make some tie ins from the cross member back to the rear draw bar assembly.

That looks great!

Interesting - you have bolt holes to support the loader in the sides of the bellhousing, just ahead of the clutch cross-rod. My YM240 doesn't have those holes. (photo). The similar downforce bears only on two bolts threaded upward into the bottom of the transmission. I like yours better.

Good work!

I was contemplating also making a mounting to those 4 holes in the bottom of the transmission, but I am pretty confident that with this way I won’t need to, also going to add in the supports back to the draw bar, which should completely tie it in.

Alright, well here she is!

Once I get it final bolted in place I’m going to make a cross piece to tie in the straps on the rear.

My 3110 doesn't have braces that attach to the rear like this. I only have a mounting bracket about mid ways of the transmission.
Get all that and then, plumb the HYD system and you should be good to go on the loader !
I hope the loader valve and cylinders are in working order as well

The loader valve is pretty much a goner, I ordered the same one Hoye sells from Surplus center for half the price. Cylinders look like they will be OK after new hoses and some grease on the joints.
