You may have fired first from port side BUT look out for shock & awe 'cause Air Force will be coming for ya.....When & how is unknown so you'll just have to sweat it out. You know what I'm talking about.:eek::rolleyes:

Harvey, I slept good. it's so clear now. The jumper had to be shipped plugged in so you could move the base down to attach the platform. Then the platform had to be plugged in, because of the limit safety switches in the base pan, and the the jumper unplugged. Was the unplugged base the reason for the upper door not unlocking?

Now if you can just figure out how to make the thumbnails click large, you will be good to go!

We all worked together well, that always make the job not a job but a get-together. I't was really good to see Jim improve in his mobility and communications from the beginning of the week to the end of the week. He is a fighter.
There were 3 shorting jumpers that bypassed options that you could use or not. We just needed to get all the plugs plugged into the right receptacles then unplug those jumpers (or in the case of the upper door - remove jumper - install plug) Having a schematic saved us. I just followed power from start to finish and made connections where needed. easy...... I'm not having any problems with the thumbnails enlarging.-----oops ---on one I am....but the others are OK.

Success!!...This will really help Kathy getting him in & out of the house -- and with transporting anything else from the driveway up into the house as well. Being the main grocery shopper in my house I know very well the chore of carrying them in once at home. Can't imagine the level of difficulty adding in a large set of stairs. Kathy - you need to borrow a shopping cart from the store...;)

(Please know I've not posted much, just always got updates from hubby, Jinman.) However, we wanted to say a HUGE SPECIAL THANK YOU!! to Harvey, Glenda, Don, Mike, Trevor, and Bird for their super job installing the wheelchair lift and new sidewalk. Completion of this project enables Jim and I the ability to get out together. It will make a great difference in Jim's freedom of mobility outdoors. We were much younger when we chose the plans for our house and we wouldn't want to change a thing. But, all these stairs were making it near impossible for Jim to go anywhere due to health issues. The dedication and hard work of these wonderful friends make us aware of how lucky we are to be a part of this group. You all are amazing! Thank you sounds so small compared to everything you did for us, but we are very grateful to you. Please know you have made a remarkable difference in our lives and have given us a morale boost at a difficult time. Great pictures too.

We got to our house Texas about five thirty this evening. There was one spot on HWY 380 coming into McKinney Texas where we could lose a radiator on Lucy and she did it right there. It was the one place where we could get off the road and out of traffic safely. We were able to disconnect the trailer from the truck so that one tow truck could take Miss Glenda and the trailer home while another could load up Lucy and myself and bring us home. Did I mention one of my friends in Wylie owns the towing business? I should have. The tows weren't free but they were a fraction of the cost it would have been to anyone else.

Some might suggest that no good deed goes unpunished. I would like to offer another theory. Even when we have bad luck it comes at the best time and in the best place. My wife and my bud's son with the tow truck talked about the more likely scenarios, we lose the radiator in town in heavy traffic etc. We are so fortunate. After all, it could have happened in the middle of nowhere on our way to Santa Fe next month way out of reach of my bud's towing service and at the mercy of those not so kind.

I share Mike's chagrin at being out maneuvered by a lowly deck hand. I knew that someday it would probably happen, I just didn't know when. I can now take that off of my list of things to dread happening. It only hurts for a little while.

Count your blessings and never forget life is good.

Sorry for your radiator troubles. they never seem to happen at the most convenient time (pulling into your driveway).

Mikim, my 4 year old boy saw the picture of Trevor and said "I like him, he's nice!"

Kathy, sorry for spelling your name with a "C" earlier. These guys are so awesome, I wonder where they get their energy. I think I heard it comes from pickle juice. :)

Just know that y'all have our prayers!

Great Job Guys!

Harvey,
I know that feeling. 1 pm this afternoon my truck just stopped running while at a stop light in Manor, with my daughter and grand daughter on board. We were lucky in that we broke down right at the 290 Cafe in Manor. We were on our way to Austin to pick up my daughter's birthday present. Rebecca and Chloe took a cab home, while I waited 2 hours for the AAA wrecker showed up. The truck was towed to Covert Dodge in Austin. I think the fuel lift pump went out. At least I hope that is all that went out. So it's rental car pickup tomorrow and home for a week, then back to Austin to pick up the truck and drop off the Rental.

Kathy,
Jim and YOU are in my prayers. Glad the guys could Get'her done.
hugs, Brandi
