Harvey,I love my IPad, but double doggone darn, it can be frustrating for an old mind.
There were 3 shorting jumpers that bypassed options that you could use or not. We just needed to get all the plugs plugged into the right receptacles then unplug those jumpers (or in the case of the upper door - remove jumper - install plug) Having a schematic saved us. I just followed power from start to finish and made connections where needed. easy...... I'm not having any problems with the thumbnails enlarging.-----oops ---on one I am....but the others are OK.Harvey, I slept good. it's so clear now. The jumper had to be shipped plugged in so you could move the base down to attach the platform. Then the platform had to be plugged in, because of the limit safety switches in the base pan, and the the jumper unplugged. Was the unplugged base the reason for the upper door not unlocking?
Now if you can just figure out how to make the thumbnails click large, you will be good to go!
We all worked together well, that always make the job not a job but a get-together. I't was really good to see Jim improve in his mobility and communications from the beginning of the week to the end of the week. He is a fighter.
We got to our house Texas about five thirty this evening. There was one spot on HWY 380 coming into McKinney Texas where we could lose a radiator on Lucy and she did it right there. It was the one place where we could get off the road and out of traffic safely. We were able to disconnect the trailer from the truck so that one tow truck could take Miss Glenda and the trailer home while another could load up Lucy and myself and bring us home. Did I mention one of my friends in Wylie owns the towing business? I should have. The tows weren't free but they were a fraction of the cost it would have been to anyone else.
Some might suggest that no good deed goes unpunished. I would like to offer another theory. Even when we have bad luck it comes at the best time and in the best place. My wife and my bud's son with the tow truck talked about the more likely scenarios, we lose the radiator in town in heavy traffic etc. We are so fortunate. After all, it could have happened in the middle of nowhere on our way to Santa Fe next month way out of reach of my bud's towing service and at the mercy of those not so kind.
I share Mike's chagrin at being out maneuvered by a lowly deck hand. I knew that someday it would probably happen, I just didn't know when. I can now take that off of my list of things to dread happening. It only hurts for a little while.
Count your blessings and never forget life is good.
