Well...we have flooding at our house here in Sanger. Water has overflowed the five foot deep bar ditch across the road and is eight inches deep running down my trailer driveway and out toward the pond. My wife took a video this morning that's on Fox 4. You'll see my NH and Case getting a bath. I'm heading out to get a trash pump to empty the water out from under my house. Geez!

Charlie, the really heavy stuff is north of us, but the rain did come back about 6:30, heavy for a little while and then a light rain that has put about 1.6" in my gauge so far.

I forgot all about that? and IDK , didn't someone get in a chase or something with the thief?

Yeah, TxDon had a good bit of info on it at the time.

Thanks for the link, TxDon!

We'll be looking forward to any updates you can get. Thanks!

In Houston this week with Corvette instead of the F-350 so waiting out the storms moving thru before getting on I-10 with all the crazies.

Not a scratch on it and would like to keep it that way for a while longer.

Made it to the Ranch safely. Not a drop of rain so far. Spider in rain gauge about to croak.

Maybe tonight or tomorrow, getting dry here.

Sad news about the Malaysian Air 777 shot down in Ukraine today. Recent reports confirm was probably an SA-11 missile.

Fundraiser in NY has precedence over finding out how many Americans were on board. First reports were 23 but, they have gone silent on that for now. :-(

I dumped about 2.6" out of my gauge this afternoon; biggest one day rain of the year for me. Looking at the radar, I would not expect anymore rain tonight, but the NWS is still showing 100% chance tonight, and I hope they're right.

Mr Bird;

If you get more rain than you need, feel free to send any excess down to your friends in Colorado County. We need it.

I would have been happy to get 2 or 3 times as much as we got, but I'm certainly thankful for what we did get.

It was a great East Texas soaker. Rained almost all day, 2 inches in the gauge. In the afternoon when it slowed up there was quite a few big puddles but an hour later they had all soaked in. Just the kind of rain we needed as we were really dry.

The real shock was the coolness. Yesterday morning 68*, this morning 66* at 0415, very nice specially for mid July.

Same here, never complained about too much rain.

It finally started here about midnight and has been raining off and on all night. Woo Hoo!

Yep, as far as I'm concerned, the weather just doesn't get any better than what we had yesterday.

Incidentally, I went to Sam's Club and Walmart on University Drive in Denton yesterday and they both had lots of bucket sitting in the floor all over the stores to catch the roof leaks. I didn't ask, but wondered whether it was the result of the hail back in April that busted all their skylights. Of course the skylights have been replaced.

We only got another .03" during the night for a total of 2.63" but we also have a new record low temperature for this date of 64 degrees this morning, and it's still overcast, but they've taken the rain out of the forecast.

Hydromet shows 2.9 for 24 last hours.

I think the details for the hay thief were kept sealed with a plea deal for the hay owner. Not sure what happened to the thief. Apparently the guy has a long tawdry list of not so good deeds.

1.64" was all we did, but at a sure needed time. Rained somewhere around Houston almost everyday this week.
