I keep making the mistake of upgrading the OS so that the currently available jailbreaks don't work. Be very careful before going to 4.2 as they have made it even harder to go backwards.

I am running the new l1merain jailbreak on 4.1 and it really works great. Love the app too!

After the latest update, my TBN app will no longer open on my 3Gs running the 3.1.3 OS. I have put off updating to the new 4.whatever because last time I upgraded I had to get a new phone.

I have the 3gs running 4.1. No problems running the TBN app. No major issues when I went from 3.x to 4.x either.

As an it professional we commonly see issues like this.

Sometimes we use the lnotk tool.
It helps sometimes, when it does not we actually look for application interaction issues.
Check for any new programs you installed maybe remove one at a time and see what happens...

I have the 3gs running 4.1. No problems running the TBN app. No major issues when I went from 3.x to 4.x either.

Same with my phone.

I did the update and haven't had too many problems except for the occasional shut down (of the TBN program not the phone). I haven't needed to break the phone yet.

I just loaded the very latest version. While it works fine, it has a new feature that I don't particularly like. I mostly use the "current" button to skim recent threads. On newest version, when you read a thread then return to the list, the list refreshes. This takes an extra second or two and causes the list to jump a bit. I really preferred the old method of manual refresh.

Well, I did the deed. I finally upgraded the phone to the latest OS and the TBN app now works. I hope I don't have any of the problems I have read about

Well, now that I've used the new version with auto refresh for a few days, I've decided that I REALLY don't like it. The whole process is jerkier and if several folks have posted while you're reading a thread, you totally lose your place on the list. I wish that I could go back one version of the app.
