I also removed all snow equipment last week. Chains were making a mess of the thawed roads.
If only it worked that way. I haven't put chains on anything yet and we still haven't got any snow to speak of here.I took my tire chains off today ... Now we will probably get 3'!
Me too, but just for insurance, I left them piled up adjacent to the rear wheels where I park the tractor....I took my tire chains off today ... Now we will probably get 3'!
Was 74° on Thursday, 22° this morning ...
Storm turned out to be a big bust here. 20" were predicted with blizzard warnings posted. Less than 3" of new snow on the ground now with a light wind. It appears to be over in my location at this point. Please share.
It depends, early in the season I'll just leave something that small and let it compact to a good base that'll make plowing real snow that much easier. I generally won't plow anything less than 4" but sometimes mid-winter I'll shovel it. Driveway's only a bit over 100', so it doesn't really take that long.I don't mind 8 inches of snow...you just go out and plow.
What's worse is when you only get an inch or 2 and it's going to stay below freezing with another 2 inches in the forecast for two days later.
...it's Snow Removal Roulette...
Should I go plow 2 inches - or gamble and not plow...!?!
