Today's Tanzania excursion went well with lots of pictures sent to us. Picked one of the elephants.
She said it is really dark there at night with lots of strange sounds

52F and cloudy @ 15:00, calling for a high of 53F for the day with a 2% chance of additional precip. Tomorrow is supposed to be nicer: about 10F warmer with a mix of clouds and sun.

Need to get the check in the mail for the annual septic permit.

Likely head down in a few and have a look at the softener components that have been soaking, probably move them upstairs to the kitchen island where I can worked on them at a comfortable height while seated.

Then work on getting a BOM made up and priced out if everything looks good.

I chickened out, still had more height left, forgot to look at screen which tells you how far away you are.

I tried using the home function after it verbally came on saying home location set. Nope. Some operator error. Maybe I need to push the button twice.
So despite knowing that gravity inevitably will cooperate here, I just used the up and down buttons with no nav when all the way up.
I can't bend my neck so all I can hear is the buzz getting louder and louder. Then when I can see it I bring it over to the vinyl launch pad I have for it so I don't have to worry
about blades trying to mow the lawn.
I think I'll have fun with this thing on the trip to Florida. Will try to send it up when I can.

RS, surprising number of parts in there, with all that corrosion, surprised it worked. Until it didn't...

Surprisingly, it was still softening ... until the leak got so bad we had to bypass it.

Is it the salt that does that?

I think it's mainly the minerals in the hard water that leave the deposits on the brass items.

A lot of whitish deposits on the brass and some of the steel ... that may be calcium.

The corrosion on the steel part is possibly due to salt water.

A little bit of green here and there which is probably copper leaching out of the pipes.

I made the executive decision to not change any more tires. I have done a lot of tires in my life and always hated the smaller ones the most

My problem had been the 14.9-28 rears on my M4700. They've been a 2 son job.

Drew on mine I need to hold the button down for a few seconds like I do to take off. You should have the RTH on the phone screen and also the button on the Remote.

Overhead Door guys showed up about 9:30, but they were done and gone at 4. Commercial grade doors and shaft drive openers. Pricey, but I'm happy (and didn't micro-manage or get involved at all).

I did the "chimney sweep" thing here yesterday. Outside and clean out at the bottom, so I was a dirty mess. Shop vac was just used to the the horizontal run inside, cleaned out. Also planted some cedar trees and a scotch pine. Garage door company is supposed to come today and put the doors in my shop. 7:55 and they're not here yet. No call or notification, either way. Hopefully they show up... Heater is due to get done tomorrow. County assessor's office guys showed up and wanted to look at the shop. I filled out the "any improvements this year?" card they send every year, and told 'em about it. They said it looked great and were impressed, and the new shop "shouldn't" bump my taxes much. We'll see...
