not only a nice trailer but a well taken care of one.
dual axles means tractor pulling ability.

my single axle only means lawn mowers.
it's sitting in the back lawn, unused but not unloved.
Tires pumped up, everything coated in protectant, zero rust.
just dull
dull is ok
Rusteoleum only stays shiny for so long.
Now we call it patina

I mostly had my trailer for my golf cart but with that gone now it's not used
for much. But I know if I sell it I"ll need it right away. Plus my suv has a nice hitch that will haul
a one ton trailer easily. It was last used to take my Gravely to the mountains. So waiting for its next adventure.
meanwhile I"m careful with the weedeater around the tires.
maybe I should jack it up.
or at least park on something other than ground.

Good morning tbn! It warmed up at camp Covington Mi overnight to 16 and a high of 18 predicted today. Suppose to snow some today but an insignificant amount. With dearest back, we'll do a bit more brushing on the trail in. Everything is always better when at camp.

Good morning! Yesterday will go down in history as the second warmest January 2nd day in history for this area, it was 86˚F a cool front blew in overnight and it is 60˚ now with a brisk N wind and clear skies only getting to the 70's today.

Second BIL (wife's brother) is in the hospital now with thyroid cancer. BILs are not starting the new year off right.

buying coffee at supermarket seriously overpriced, better at Costco or online.
It's up everywhere. If you've found a source where prices haven't already shot up, just wait, they're on their way. Many of the countries where most of our coffee is produced were hit with 50% tariffs by the current administration, and then they simultaneously had a massive bean crop shortage last year. So the prices shot up initially due to the tariffs, but remained high due to the bean shortage, after many of the tariffs were reduced or removed. Pre-tariff raw bean prices more than doubled in 12 months, in the wake of the shortage.

I order from La Colombe, they deliver four boxes here every 3rd week, on subscription. They're local (Philadelphia headquarters), make world-class coffees, and have been doing a better job than many at holding prices down. They have never been in the bargain market, their 12 oz bags run $14 - $18, but they often havee something or other on sale under $10 for 12 oz. Right now, it appears to be their Nicaragua Morning Magic, which I've never tried. I usually stick to their Nizza and Monaco anymore, since it's too much work to dial in the grinder and espresso machine to new roasts, all the time.

quite the news this morning
bet they make a movie of this...
we went in and extracted the President of Venezuela and took him out of the country.
Sounds like a Seal Team Six special.

should make for some interesting reading today
China met with Maduro in the morning supposedly to discuss joining forces and the U.S. captured Maduro later that day. The China delegation is reportedly still in Venezuela. Message sent.

28 outside right now. Heading to upper 30's. With no wind, it is actually nice outside.
Looking forward to warmer weather predicted next week.

Still nursing "not my dog" and my abs. I just don't feel right. Me and not my dog need to get happy again.

Not much planned for today. I will see if I can walk down to the game cams and rescue them. It's a good long walk.

Better check on the animals again...

Hope all have a good day. Be safe.

good morning, 22 to begin with high 35 today cloudy

Raked the glows and got the stove going strong. Playing with the variable speed fan to minimize flu temp and maximize stove top temp.

Average steps for 2025 were 8000. Yesterdays steps 10500.

The tools like Solidworks are impressive and takes engineering to new levels. I still think it is almost like cheating compared to what I learned back in the day
My engineering schooling was based on having completed 4 years in a related trade in order to be accepted. The graduating engineers were very sought after due to their practical experience

morning all, 22 going to 33 and cloudy.
Dog got her shots yesterday, waiting to hear back on tests, but she seems to be doing just fine.
Got a temp controlled relay board, was spec'd to 5v, but due to drops across chips needs about 5.3 v. The company that distributes them and I got into an email trouble shooting conversation and they are going to change their documentation to reflect the increased running voltage.

Winterdeere, nothing like watching a project be successful, hope the trailer works well for a long time.

Sorry to hear Don, prayers sent.

Not sure what I am up to today.

Be well,

Second BIL (wife's brother) is in the hospital now with thyroid cancer. BILs are not starting the new year off right.
I hope it's not the bad kind like ATC
have had half my thyroid removed, working just fine on half.
thankfully just benign, me growing things.

Thyroid cancer mortality is generally very low, with
overall 5-year survival rates around 98-99%, but varies significantly by cancer type, stage, and age, with aggressive forms like Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer (ATC) having poor outcomes (around 8% 5-year survival) while common Papillary/Follicular cancers have near 100% survival when localized. Most deaths from thyroid cancer actually come from other causes like heart disease, especially in early-stage survivors, but advanced ATC is a major cause of thyroid cancer-specific mortality.

65°F and 4.67 inches rain definitely a wet one.

The VA cardiologist said my heart was looking good. Didn’t offer a long term warranty though. Followup next Aug.

Otherwise not a real productive day. Watched a couple of movies with the kids.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day

I haven't looked at grocery store prices, but have seen green coffee prices rise, and don't like it either. My understanding of the coffee market is that world coffee futures market had risen 34% (Arabica) to 40% (Robusta) Year over Year, pre-tariff, and that's what we are experiencing now. Tariffs have had a small impact.

26F - supposedly with a snow shower - @ 15:00 but not seeing it here. Low this morning was 10.7F. Calling for a low of 21F overnight.

Made good progress yesterday.

Feral kitty(s) fed and watered.

Later, when The Woman was downstairs, She saw we now have a black cat that is stopping by for some free chow. Not clear if that one is feral or just a neighbor's cat.

More clean up and organizing in the utility room, made some room.

Bracing removed from panels that were put up previously.

Got 2nd piece of foam board that had come loose (re)glued up, placed, and braced against the set of shelves which I had moved.

Cut foam board scraps, glued those up, and pieced in the area north of the main breaker panel on the west wall.

Some taping done on foam board joints.

Area cleared and studs for the remaining north wall cut to length, all nailed up, and built for the north wall (except for the top plate, which I need a measurement and another 2 x 4 for)

Insulation pulled down from a couple more joist cavities, still need to vacuum those out and repack them with insulation, one likely needs some Great Stuff.

Not sure what all on the agenda for the rest of the day other than the above ... possibly a trip down to Menards in Massillon to pick up the plumbing parts needed to redo the laundry drain.

Otherwise, just see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Tuesday ... (y)

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 12C and it's presently 17.7C, mostly cloudy with a breeze.

Yesterday I did go out and chain-sawed the branches into usable lengths. And then 'it happened again'... with a chainsaw in hand, a few more branches "taunted me". 🫤 I'll move the piles of wood later on.

I'm off to Church in a bout a half hour and then the rest of the day is His.

That's about it, take care all.
