I haven't looked at grocery store prices, but have seen green coffee prices rise, and don't like it either. My understanding of the coffee market is that world coffee futures market had risen 34% (Arabica) to 40% (Robusta) Year over Year, pre-tariff, and that's what we are experiencing now. Tariffs have had a small impact.
I've yet to see in grocery store coffee brand have sale...buy 1 get one free or mark down same with dairy products.

Good Tractor Evening,
Kathleen made a couple real nice Turkey Pot Pies. Absolutely delicious, then she said I will freeze one and will have it in a couple of weeks. Then she remembers that our youngest son is laid up after elbow surgery so she offers it to my DIL 😳
Oh well easy come easy go 😉😂

Trip to Menards made, return done, plumbing parts picked up.

Getting the 10’ stick of 2” ABS stuffed into the car was a bit of a trick … and resulted in a cool ride home with the right rear window down a little.

At any rate, back home and all unloaded now.

Woman about to head out and pick up some wings for dinner … now that I’ve warmed the car up for Her …

I went back to bed about 9 or so and got up at noon. Did diddly squat all day. Gonna check out the local news now and go back to bed. Cat litter still not done, am waiting for a double digit day to do it.

good morning all
sipping my coffee, trying to wake up, tried to turn over and
go back to sleep but the brain got in gear and stuck there.

only plans for today are lunch with my friends in Hatfield after I visit the rv and take the rear
taillight assembly home for repair.

likely today will be like yesterday, snow flurries predicted for morning, we'll see if anything gets to the ground.
Cold enough outside it should. 26 now going up to 35 in sunshine later.

RS, what room are you doing all the sheetrocking in? Looks like a big project, sure keeping you busy this winter.
I'm guessing it's your basement but?

the basement in this little cottage was all original and yukky. Spider webs and stained walls everywhere, some mold.
best thing I did was pay a guy to paint the whole thing, now it feels a lot nicer when I go downstairs
to do the laundry. Time for me to vac my own spiders again; I keep a small shop vac near the dryer to suck up the lint
so I'll go on wall duty with that.

Morning all!
17 going to 25 with flurries in the air.
Not much going on here. Up since 2 am with hands and neck!

Sister pulled a bone head move and tried to use a rocking chair for a ladder. Possible broken wrist and multiple bumps and bruises! Went to take care of a few projects for her. She goes to orthopedic doc Wednesday.

Keeping it simple here for the immediate future. Cleaning up in the woodshop with no projects at the moment. Looks like my Christmas tree hollow form is going to win the monthly contest! Bragging rights for me till the next contest.

Lots of doc visits for the wife's mom and dad for the next couple weeks. I also will get another round of neck shots on Thursday. Sucks that they knock me out to give them. I lose a whole day!

Quiet day today as far as I know. No visitors planned. Might take a ride to gas up the truck and do a bit of shopping. Might just do nothing too! Lol.
That's all for now.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Coffee has been poured into cup. 22° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 28° with cloudy skies. Yesterday did not go as planned. Went out to measure old bird feeder mounts. Found I use 1" square tubing for the older mounts. I have plenty of it up in the pole barn loft. Problem been there a long time. All kinds of steel piled on top of it. Moved them to get at 1" tubing. Then put everything back in place. Needed a nap after that. Went out to shop later and got the mount post made and painted. Still need to attach mount to feeder to complete project. Hope to get that done today.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

a fun article comparing a Kubota M5-111 with a BMW M5

It's too bad Kubota can't design a reliable affordable automatic trans like the European IVTs.
on larger tractors apparently all about efficiency, the variables suck up 10-20hp for extra pumps.
Hydrostatic is even less efficient which is why not used on higher horsepower.
seems to be universally agreed that best trans for loader work is hydrostatic. Sure was for me.
Felt very clumsy using a powershift trans coming from hydro. All that clumsiness disappeared out in the field.

Buppies, sorry you had another challenging night. You really never know what the next day will bring.
just hope there are plenty of good days in there. Walk hand in hand with smiles on your faces.

Good Tractor Morning,
Ct, 20 to start going to 30. Snowing lightly now, quite pretty with the lights on but supposedly not going to last very long.

Peter, thanks for compliment on Kathleen’s turkey pot pie. It was really delicious 🙏 I just didn’t want to give the second pie up so easily. 😉

Don, sorry to hear about wife’s brother. Prayers headed your way 🙏

Buppies hoping your finally getting some sleep 🙏

Mostly, that is some very impressive mileage numbers my friend.

Drew, excellent idea on painting the basement walls white. And a spider vacuum to boot, maybe you could market that idea and make a couple million 😉 Then you could buy the farm back and hire workers to take care of everything 😃

This morning there will be church, and I will certainly be praying for our country 🙏 Praying for a good worship 🙏

I have been befriended by an Amateur Radio Operator out in Illinois. He is extremely intelligent, an Electronics Engineer who in my opinion is a gift from God. I ordered one of his CW keying touch paddles , and he sent me the key and refunded my money 😳 He then offered to repair a Drake R4C receiver that I recently purchased free of charge, the receiver works but has some issues. It’s a vintage piece of radio gear that I always wanted when I was a young man but could never afford one. He invited me to take part in his daily schedule of CW sessions every morning at 7 am along with his friends that run CW at 50 plus wpm. I only can get bits and pieces of their conversation because I can only copy about 40 wpm. But he had taken me under his wing, I feel so blessed to have found him on the air waves. 🙏

The Drake R4C receiver is to the right
I hope all have a wonderful Sunday 🙏
