How do you stop bar oil from leaking?
I had one battery pole saw that leaked and one that didn't.
Guess I could just box it with a pad....?
I usually store & carry my saws on their side with the bar on top of the oil tank. That way, gravity doesn't force the oil out.

I carry a dewalt elect chainsaw on service truck for use during winter. I always have 6 charged batteries on truck. I do work in rural locations in winter and dont want to have to turn around because a small tree is on road

I have lots of 20V DeWalt tools so I bought their pole saw which I love but it leaked out of box first fill, so the store gave me another one which leaks. My Greenworks saws do not.
I fabricated a hanger so it doesn't leak in garage...just when I use it.
DeWalt's chain saws have a known issue with the bar oil leaking. I keep mine drained.

Every pole saw I have ever owned seems to leak bar oil. Oddly, my chainsaws do not, even the very old ones.

I've settled for keeping something under the pole saw, to absorb the oil that will inevitably leak. I also only fill it with a little more than needed for a quick job, rather than keeping the tank always full, like I do with my chainsaws.

Mine is inside a canvas case, with rag under bar

my biggest problem is pull starting, the body is just not what it once was (81 yrs old) also I just don't like to fool with carb problems due to not using saw for long periods of time
My fingers don't like pull starting and when I must... heavy gloves help... Doc said years of over use and too many kick backs I guess...

My old Stihl 031 used to leak oil everywhere and I always had to refill it when I used it at my mom's.
When she was done with it and gave it to me... I didn't use 30-weight like she and her helper used and surprise surprise it doesn't leak sticky bar oil!

A friend of mine started having that problem years ago. I put a D-handle on the starter cord for his saw (Oregon calls it a mitten handle.)

The grip doesn't help those with shoulder problems, but it made all the difference in the world for him with his hand issues. It let him wrap the handle much deeper into his hand, greatly reducing the stress on his fingers.
