We have drifted a some what long distance away from battery powered chainsaws.
I like having choice.I do like my tiny makita battery power saws.
Same here... except Stihl AP series.I like having choice.
However am not too fond of having a multitude of incompatible batteries. So I keep things down to EGo 56V and DeWalt 20V.
I have the same 18v tools that the saw battery fits. I like extra's.I like having choice.

This is interesting. I never thought of oil for a preservative in the carb. Frankly I don't think the kind of oil is that big of deal but because I love it, it would probably be marvel MOThe sure way to store a 2-stroke is to drain the gas tank, put a few ounces of 2-stroke oil in the tank, pump the primer to fill the carburetor with oil.
When you need it again drain the oil from the tank, fill with premix, prime to get the oil out of the carburetor. Your first tank has a little more oil than normal but it will store this way for years without gumming the carburetor or the diaphragms getting stiff.
The idea is to use 2-stroke oil which is the oil the carburetor is used to.This is interesting. I never thought of oil for a preservative in the carb. Frankly I don't think the kind of oil is that big of deal but because I love it, it would probably be marvel MO

Thanks for welcoming
I have to say that my battery leaf blower is my most used tool during the summer.Stihl now offers battery powered blower/vac but only AK battery and not AP battery.
There are times a leaf vac would be helpful but not going to start a new battery series or buy gas to sit for 11 months
I never had one but when I went to the AP Stihl line the shop said it’s popular and not that much to add as already have charger and batteries.I have to say that my battery leaf blower is my most used tool during the summer.
The adjectives you use to describe the support structure tells me a battery powered tool is right for you.Had my Kobalt battery powered chainsaw for I think 3 or 4 years now. It has even surprised me the jobs it has done. I absolutely love it. Ready to go in any temperatures, no pulling on a starter rope. Safer because it's not running until you're cutting. Lighter. No nasty fuel to carry around. And if the chain is sharp it'll go through an oak tree like a hot knife through butter.
I’m always using it to clean off the patios, porches, and sidewalks. It’s also nice to blow of the tractor and mowers after cutting.I never had one but when I went to the AP Stihl line the shop said it’s popular and not that much to add as already have charger and batteries.
I probably use it the most of all the AP tools.
