I have a 14" ego Electric. Does well for branches

Bought my wife an HF Bauer electric chainsaw. Has an Oregon chain and bar and even has an auto oiler and was under 50 bucks. Have plenty of Bauer batteries so it's all good. She likes it. Have their 20 volt pole trimmer as well and it works fine also. Think I paid under 50 for it as well. Also has an Oregon chain and bar. I have lots of Bauer cordless tools and a bunch of batteries as well and none have ever failed, unlike my Dewalt cordless drill that went up in smoke about a year ago and went to the landfill.

You are getting ripped at 25 a gallon. I usually pay about 18 here.
Not me. I don't buy the stuff. Its $25/gallon!

Push mower and all lawn tools are EGo. Zero turn is gasoline. It sat the winter under a roof with a battery maintainer without issue.

At least here in Nevada, stations that offer E-free gas have a separate nozzle/hose for the E-free.
As does Buc-ees. They have 87 and 93-ish (I forget, maybe 91?). But they are on separate aisles. If you pull into one that has the wrong AKI you have to try the next aisle over. One dispenser, one hose, one grade.

In thirty years I will be able to start my small top handle stihl saw, while a battery saw will be in a box will all the other outdated battery tools.
You're not wrong! But I do like my EGO electric saw.

No, I think your EGo will still be going in 30 years. My EGo mower is from 2016. The SP drive is intermittent but the blade motor, deck, and original battery are still good after 8 years.

And there are multiple builders of aftermarket batteries for them.

Why don't we see desiel airplane engines? Same for chainsaws.
There are diesel piston airplane engines. More popular in Europe than in the US, but they have made some inroads here.

Usually. poor spelling and sloppy punctuation is indicative of a person who don't take the time to proof read what they post.
Not to pick nits, but since you’re throwing stones… it would be “doesn’t”, not “don’t”. :p

All nitro R/C and hobby engines are compression ignition.
Yeah, I thought that was the case. Heck, they all have glow plugs and lack any spark ignition.

But of all the dozen-odd old airplane engines dad bought as a kid in the 1940’s, this is the only one specifically labeled and marketed as “diesel”.

There was a period of building bigger R/C planes using repurposed chainsaw 2-stroke engines. The joy was how a bigger plane was cheaper to fly.

There used to be vendors selling "diesel conversion kits" for the nitro engines. Not sure what they did but the attraction was lower operating costs. So that engine is probably one intended to run off diesel (and premix oil, probably castor oil) rather than the nitro mix sold at hobby stores.

Also, "poor spelling and sloppy punctuation is are indicative..."

I try not to point out another poster's grammatical errors, hoping that they in turn won't point out mine.
Sometimes though one has to make exceptions.

I know I will frequently see my mistakes when I go back to a post like I did with my Stihl AP series battery saws.

Sometimes it is just my fat fingers and other times spell check auto corrects when I hit post...

I'm glad there is an opportunity to make corrections... not always the case with all sites...

Am thankful for the strikeout markup. When I edit for speling spelling or outright rong wrong word I’ll strikeout then correct. Own my mistakes.
