Yes mags are even lighter than aluminum cast. Generally basic cast are lighter than basic spoke or steel wheels, and high end cast are lighter than high end spoke. And cast stay true and are tubeless.

In my experience with both, cast are noticeably lighter than spoke wheels. Spoke wheels are stronger against impacts but also get out of true over time. If spoke wheels were lighter they would be on moto gp bikes.

While cast wheels are lighter, I've always felt manufactures should offer heavy duty cast wheels on adventure bikes, at least as an option. They might be as heavy as spoke tubeless wheels but will remain true and be easier to maintain. They would be ideal for those who don't take their big...

I mistakenly thought 2601 was rated at 2,600 rpm but it's 2,800. Kubota recommends the 2601 run at 2,800 for mowing so I'd keep it there, no lower than 2,700. It'll be easier on the tractor and will mow better to boot.

Yeah they stick out just a bit but I like them.

I noticed that when looking at your wider tires and wheels and can see that happening. I get no spray, dirt, or mud with doors off with stock tires so that's why the doors have stayed off. But the P520 (stock) tires sprayed everything from the road on my leg so those doors went right back on.

It looks nice in camo, and so complete! First thing I did was remove the roof and doors. I did level mine today. Puffed all tires to 12psi then increased preload on left front and left rear until level.

I can see how a 6x6 making turns might chew up the yard even with open differentials. Neither the Mule or Deere 3520 with R4's disturb my grass, unless the ground is squishy wet. But the Pioneer 520 with no differential is a different story, heck it'd do so with slicks!

I bought a 3520 just over a year ago and really like the size, power and deluxe features. Interestingly I paid $26,000 for it w/o cab but it came with a 375 hoe, 4 in 1 bucket and forks. So maybe similar value I don't know? It had a lot fewer hours though.

I don't think you disagree with what I said at all, you just (rightly so) feel a heavy fabricated deck is stronger than a thin stamped one. However I would certainly find a smooth, rounded, one piece, 7 gauge steel deck preferable to a 7 gauge deck made from pieces welded together.

Stamping a deck out of heavy gauge steel requires a very large, heavy duty press, which most small mower manufacturers don't invest in so they simply weld them up. A welded together deck certainly doesn't mean it's better.

That's the point, a B2601 is about the same price as the Deere 1025R yet much more capable (ground clearance, 3 range hydro, lift, etc.) Or a BX is lower price and slightly less capable than a 1025R.

I felt the same after getting my first SxS years ago and therefore have had one ever since. I use it almost every day for any variety of tasks. And for just riding trails or down the road to visit neighbor sometimes it's nice being able to take someone along, beside you.
