I went to AA the other day and FRAM is on the roll - grease, oil, you name it. But I still remember their flimsy filters and will never buy anything FRAM. That said, for my old Honda motorcycles Autozone sells filters in STP boxes but the filter itself has FRAM printed on it.

I would not be that lost if it happened first thing - no click, dead battery. But I was cutting for hour plus and it was not the first time I had to start the tractor after it stalled.

Resolved. It was weak battery. The battery was good enough for lights and dash but could not actuate the solenoid and spin the starter. Of course I took the starter out about four times, had it tested in AA, tried it myself with jumper cables and battery from my jeep - thats when it finally...

I was able to spin the starter on the bench using jumping cables but when the starter is installed and connected to the power lead and I jump past the solenoid - i.e. bring power to the small terminal - nothing happens. Seems like the starter is dead after all, or the solenoid is finicky.

There is nothing visibly wrong with the wiring harness. I took out and ckecked the main switch, all ok. Verified the black/white wire that turns on the starting rellay has infinite resistance against the ground. The same wire has negligible resistance measured from the starter end to the main...

Yes, the link is a green loop of wire. I checked the starter, it spins under direct 12V. Could glow plug get grounded? Thats when the dash dimes out, when I turn the key to glow plug position without engaging the clutch.

I found an old electrical Craftsman at Habitat for Humanity. It was $15, worth the try. It worked ok for a year and then it started slipping. I took it apart and - thank you Sears - found the gear it needed for $20. Very handy saw for around the shop and house, even my wife uses it.

Heet in winter for my Kubota. 2 stroke oil in gas for my old - 4 stroke - motorcycles.

I got a used meat pan/carrier to catch any spills. My old Honda motorcycles have cartridge filters, there is no way taking them off without spilling. This pan catches it all.

I use pine all the time. I have a small sawmill and I never need to buy lumber for sheds and general backyard use. BTW compared to hw store lumber the local pine is beautiful, smells better and is a pleasure to work with.

My daily driver since 1998, 30 years old this year. Year ago, the T-5 died and I replaced it with np435 with Novak Dana 300 adapter.

Stupid me, hit the key with my knee and it broke, luckily I can still turn the lock to start her, but I would prefer to get the broken key out. Anybody had that happen before? Is it hard to dig out the lock? This is B1750, but I believe it is the same for tractors of that era.

Thats how I done the bumper for my jeep. 1/2" plates attach to the frame and go through the bumper where bumper is 4x2 rectangular tubing and tow points are part of the 1/2" plate.

24" bar with ripping chain will need an end support, it shakes bit too much. I tried to use whole 372XP clutch assembly, but it would slip on slow down - this is the outer clitch piece welded to a spindle. It gives me the option to replace the chain sprocket rim as needed.

Cheap rulers help setup the thickness, 1 3/8" move up gets me 1" board.

Log moves up with 1" ACME rods. The log dogs I may need to change or improve, but it works for now.
