Oh yes!! Started with drooling over the 750Honda and then Kawasaki came out with the Z1 and as soon as I rode it I was really hooked.

My newest model & rider is a mess if pavement is wet at all. First year FXSTS ('89) where the frt fender is fixed and high above the tire. (closer to it & 'floating' on later springer-fork models)
On any wet road there's a spray of water like a spike-Mohawk hairdo that makes one have to hold their head off-center to avoid a facial rinse. IMO it needs a rubber flap out in front like we'd put on a MX bike for mud. It's why I pack a rain suit along with sweaters & tools.
btw, If I could change anything about this bike it would be to have a 4-speed vs 5-speed trans and kick start. I only have one other electric-only bike and haven't ridden it much in 30 yrs. ('75 XLH) IMO kick starting separates bikes (esp classics) from two-wheeled cars.

I have Frog Togs jacket and pants. Some other brand bootie (Cortech?) Need a waterproof summer glove. Shoei RF1100 manages water and fogging better than most.

Last week I added the floorboard extenders kit# FB-EXT9 by PPI to my FLHT Standard. 30 min job as a DIY. Moves them out just right for a comfortable fit with my riding boots. Used them on my 09 FLHTCU for 10+ years with no issues. Yesterday, I added the Heel shifter #33600325. Another 30 min job. Either you like them or you don't - for me it's a must have.
Going for a short ride today if time permits to try them both out.

I put the heel shifter on my Ultra Limited the week I bought her.
At least 2 months yet before I'll be able to get out and ride,
need a couple of spring rains to wash the salt of the roads after it quits getting put on.
Then you have a month of touchy riding as many corners and intersections will have loose sand still on them.
Then tillage and planting season bring lots of mud and manure out of the fields and on to the roads.
Makes for interesting riding,hope I get more in this year then last.
