How do you plow snow?

How would the ins co know it's lettered? I have to send pics to Haggerty for my antique/classic veh's, but not my "regular" car ins co.
They don't need to. If your vehicle is registered as commercial, your personal policy doesn't cover it. Many people only discover this when they try to file a personal claim and get denied.

@Rockbadchild your picture almost looks like there’s daylight. I assume you just have a good pole light since that far north the sun never comes up.😀
haha funny... I am not that north, we see the sun at least when its not snowing... so not this week but eventually it will stop then we will see it.

Fu&*en brutal this week I tell ya we had 1.5 to 2 feet of snow and we got a solid 2 extra feet... snow is already at crotch height and its not even Christmas, snowmobilers will have a blast this year that's for sure.

@Hay Dude. Sorry for the delay getting back to you.

Back home (SD), they don't use salt on the roads. Nearby in MN they use a great deal. The difference is so stark that most SD natives won't buy a used car that lived in MN. They become rust buckets in short order.

The residential streets in my hometown rarely got plowed. Only if we got real snow (typically 6"+ in one storm). We drove (and walked) on roads that were essentially hard-packed snow for 2-3 months. We half-skiied on our walk to school. It varied by year, though. I'd rather have snow than bitter cold. Really cold air masses cannot hold as much precipitation, so when it got really cold, we got less snow. The Dakotas (and some other places, I reckon) get a lot of drifting, even when snowfall is rather light.

The term 'real snow' is common speech up there. It isn't used as a pejorative, it just describes a storm that dropped enough to be a PITA (or, for enthusiasts, enough for sledding, skiing, snowmobiles, etc.)

"Oh, ja. We had real snow there last night, don'tcha know."

Updating my snow fighter. Kubota M7060, Hiniker 8.5' V Plow with 1' wings I just fabed up so 10.5' span now. (no paint yet) 84" Landpride Blower with all hydraulic controls and custom hydraulic back drag I fabed up a few weeks ago. I also have a 7' box blade, 8' 3 point hydraulic angle blade and a 3 point salt spreader depending on the kind of precipitation we get.
