Aaron nailed it.

Our budget makes us "crawlers". Bouncers have more dollars in their engines than we have in our buggies. :)

To get back on "subject". Here's a 1st edition Bronco. :)

And a Jeep Cherokee. :)

Ha! I don't see a Bronco nor a Cherokee in those pics! :)

Man, I would love to come ride along with you guys some day. Maybe I could ride my ATV as I don't have anything else to tackle those trails with!

Yeah I know. The longer the modifications, the less original material left. The Bronco saved the grill. The Cherokee, you gotta get inside, dash and firewall are original.

Anytime you want to come play with us, let me know. Everywhere on my farm has easy bypass trails. We have rigs of all shapes and sizes that wheel there. :)

None of those buggies looks like an Early Bronco to me. I suppose you have to use your imagination a lot if the fabricator bent some tube into a shape that resembles the front grill of one to some extent. Maybe the orange one is attempting to roughly mimic the EB grill. They all bear a closer resemblance to a jungle gym.

Jim, the owner of the orange buggy would be highly offended...... :(

It started life as an early Bronco. Still runs the original small block V8 with a Holley Injection system added. Also still uses the original stick tranny. That grill is original equipment. No mimic there. He was invited to the National "Tough Truck" competition in Hollister California a few years ago. Placed 3rd. Got on his side in the Tank Trap and timed out.

Man that looks like fun!!! Been on SxS's and ATV's for many years but nothing like that. Looks like a great way to spend a day outside!

I'm very Blessed. My two Sons love doing it. Now my grandkids love it too. Brings the family together. Several other families in the community have joined in. We have a great time.

We don't have any money. So the build is always the fun part. Trying to cut corners and do it cheaper. I bought a very good electric over hydraulic pipe bender several years ago. Give a young man a pile of pipe and a good bender and you get a view into his Soul. Just look at the black Cherokee. :)

Thats awesome! We used to go a lot more in the SxS when the kids were smaller and it is great family time. Now its mostly the wife and I and we both enjoy going for a ride and just getting to be outside and enjoy the time together. Having everyone helping to build the buggy is a great pastime and think it is great you can get family and friend involved. Some of my most enjoyable jobs every year are the ones with my neighbor and our families!

The tank trap gets most of em. If you've ever been on it you'd know why. It's a muddy gully that narrows so you typically end up on your side and trying to crawl with your roof digging the side of the gully.
I started off roading at Hollister but moved on to rock crawling in the Sierra mostly. That is I started wheeling for fun at Hollister. I did a lot of off road wheeling back when I was in the AF but I didn't know I was supposed to be having fun back then.
