Not sure what you mean by "work truck trim package"? I just tried the Ford configurator, and it allows carpet delete on both the XLT and XLT Lariat trim packages for the Super Duty which I don't think would be considered to be "work truck trim packages". Typically people think of the XL as being the work truck package.
Must be a Ford thing. I know that Ram only offers vinyl flooring in the tradesmen work truck package. And no matter what brand, unless the dealer has a fleet sales department, a stripped truck is special order; they don’t stock them on the lot.

I think it is. Not sure about now, but when I bought my F350 XL you could get a lot of options "a la carte". For instance, I wanted cruise control because I knew I would be on the highway a lot, and I was able to order that by itself (actually, it also came with tilt steering wheel). They also had different seat options, like a split bench, available without having to order a complete package, etc.

Really? Not up here. Stuff 5 years old is still selling for the price it sold for new.
And anything older than 5 years is a "collector car" in most sellers heads, LOL
I guess to them I have been driving collector cars my whole life. Currently 1983, 1999, 2003 and 2008. Wife's car to me is a "brand spanking" new 2015. I referred to it as our "new" car to a neighbor the other day, they laughed and reminded me it is 10 years old.

This and my trucks will remain in service until they can't be fixed any more.

Bronco? Be OK if Jeeps started another thread.
Hey Arly, did you know you can put your Bronco into what they call "Bambie Mode"?
My son figured that out and used his FordScan program to do it and my F150. So now we can use the fog lights with either low or high beams on.
He also was going to turn off the auto stop/start....but if you do there was some side effects with the battery management system, so he didn't touch it.

No I didn't know that but its make no difference, we don't mind the auto shut off. As stated earlier, I thought I'd hate it in my truck and do know how to shut it off. Makes no difference to my driving.

I like to be able to use the fog lights on high beam, because you regain the light right in front of your truck when you have the highs on.
I don't know how good the LED fogs are in the Bronco yet, but the ones in my truck are super bright so they are actually helpful.

Ford launched a recall for over 694,000 Bronco Sport and Escape vehicles that could suffer a fuel leak inside their engine compartments because of a faulty part, potentially posing a fire risk.

The recall centers on a fuel injector within certain 2021-2024 Bronco Sport and 2020-2022 Escape vehicles featuring 1.5-liter engines, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recall report.

The automaker said in the recall report that the fuel injector "may crack, resulting in fuel or vapor migrating to and accumulating near ignition sources, resulting in potential underhood fire."

Same here ArlyA. Our Bronco is my sons and wifes. But I took it for a ride and I really like it. Wish it was my daily driver, but the only time I ever really go anywhere is to the tractor shows pulling my tractors so I need my truck for that.
Brings back memories of my old Bronco II and Explorer 2 door Sport.

Darn comfortable to ride and drive.

Since Ford discontinued the Edge, which my wife really loves, I showed her pictures of the Bronco Sport. She seems to be ok with the look of the vehicle. There may be one in our future when the Edge leaves us. I will miss the 335hp/380 lb. ft. of torque on that day. I'm considering a 2024 Edge ST though

As seen at a car show last weekend.

Oh ya? The Edge is no more?
I didn't know they could be had with that kind of power.
Those new 400 horse Explorers are sweet but I'd be scared to see the price.

Yep, 2024 is the end of the line. The Edge ST with 2.7 L twin turbo has 335/380. The Explorers are too big for our needs.

I used to love the Explorers when they were body on frame, but haven't bought one since they turned them into station wagons.

I am a big fan of body-on-frame SUVs, that is one of the reasons I bought a Land Cruiser. I like the ride and the sturdiness of the construction. My wife has a RAV4 and loves it, but it is just a bit too car-like for me.

Just drove this car home from the shop and noted its average fuel mileage was listed as 25... Seems kinda high for in town which is where it gets driven. Ride is sure nicer than my Ranger! Got snows on and oil changed.
