Not as useful as others but fun none the less.

Hi JWM,

That's very interesting...

I need weatherproofed models to mount at the corners of my house and on the perimeter of my property, and if you could manage to make them belt-fed I'd really be pleased...

Otherwise I'm back to square one with stealing the concrete noise barriers from local highways to wall off my "estate".

:mischievous:

Was going to use this one before my State banned remote hunting a decade ago, for hog killing.

Just finally finished it for the fun of it.

This is a good old thread time to wake it up.

I made this rolling tool chest exactly 30 years ago. We didn't have much money so couldn't buy a steel one. I had some material left over from a cabinet job. The casing and drawers are glued and stapled. The drawers have adjustable dividers. On the bottom there are oak boards that the casters screw into. After 30 years it is just as solid as new. I have several steel roll-aways now but this is still in daily use.

For me, it's just beautiful when something get made and used for so long.

I have some wooden ones I inherited from the guys in the maintenance shop in my hospital, when they retired.

A few of them even left a few tool in them for me.

I will being using them for the rest of my life, amd leaving them to my nephews when I'm done with them, as my father-in-law did for me.

That came out great. I know you have metal ones now but no need to ever replace that and if you did, I'll bet you would still gravitate back to the wooden one. I have an old toolbox that I have since replaced with a much better and more expensive one but I still use and prefer the old one. Some things money can't buy.

I'D take your wooden roll cabs over new steel ones ANY day! :)
