I have had my 78" WM flail mower for almost a year now.

Tighten all the bolts when you get it and even better put a little blue loctitie on each one and lube every fitting.

I have broken several of the cutting "Y" blades andI ordered 3 today online from Woodmaxx.....$46. I need to find cheaper parts in the future with the way these break after hitting small saplings. Anyone have a source for better cheaper blades for these?????

May want to check out Flailmasters and see if you can match something up. I got my Alamo knives there and they are holding up GREAT. Have cut up a bunch of 1" saplings with no damage. Good luck

Which ones did you get: standard, heavy duty, or extreme duty? And how much were they, if you don't mind me asking. Their online catalog doesn't show prices.

These were for my Alamo flail and they seem to be holding up extremely well (no PUN intended)

Seemed like a good company to deal with as they were very helpful on the phone and got everything out quickly. When I need more blades I will order from them again.

I recall there website was not the best so I called them and it turned out to be a good idea as they made sure I got the right stuff the first time. Here is there info:

Have a new Woodmaxx FM-96H with about 2.5 hours on it.
Agree with previous poster, check bolts frequently and use blue thread locker.
Had a rear roller wiper bolt with lock nut fall off after 30min of mowing and it was checked for tightness before leaving the shop.
A few other bolts with lock nuts have come loose as well, but i've been checking them every 15-20 min of operation and seem to have them all secure now.
PTO shaft shield on the mower vibrates and makes a lot of noise especially at the Far left shift position.
3pt top mount piece bolted to the mower different than the instructions showed, must have been a new design change for 2019 that didn't make it into the manual.
Overall its doing a nice job mowing 18-24" grass and weeds faster and nicer finish but seems to require more attention than the old 72" rotary cutter did.
