Post #27 shows my bucket and tooth bar. I've used it to dig - gently. Not much any more. My situation - I have from "0" to ten plus feet" of soil over SOLID basaltic lava bedrock. If I'm not very careful - the tooth bar could get hooked on the bedrock - resulting in SOMETHING being damaged. It's just not worth it.
SO........ I gather up with the rear blade or use the scarifiers on the ROBB to dig - scoop up with the bucket. Nothing ever gets damaged.
Besides - the thought of even trying to dig out one of my ancient Ponderosa pines - ludicrous. They run 24" to 42" on the base.
Yes - I've sure found my M6040 to be a very worthy machine. After 15 years - everything still works as it did brand new.
