Lookie, lookie, lookie what I found in my garden this morning. No! Not the dollar, the melon. The dollar is just to prove how big my 1st Israel melon of 2013 is. Gonna be some good eatin' in a couple of days.:licking:

Also, check out this healthy okra. If it makes as good as it looks, I'm gonna be fryin' okra for dinner soon.

Don, I just did some research from the Atacoma county airport's weather station (about 1/2 mile from me).

Since May 10th, we've had a whopping 0.69" of rainfall....:(

Wow, I feel like a rain forest. May 10-11 was our last major rainfall that weekend with 1.9". since then the tenths and hundredths have added up to 1.45" for a total of 2.35" since May 10th.

And I thought our drought was bad. I've had 6.63" since May 10, but none in over 3 weeks.

The dryer it gets, the more I realize how blessed I am to have a wonderful water well. Surface weather comes and goes, but my well has just kept on supplying all the great tasting water I can pump. For my return on investment, I like my well the most. This week, I watched a well drilling rig come down my road to drill a well at a new homesite about 1/4 mile from me. That driller is the same one who got a stuck pipe at 265' at another neighbor's home and had to move over and drill another hole. On the other hand, my driller knows this area and the Trinity Aquifer like the back of his hand. He drilled my well down to 386' without a hitch and it's been perfect ever since. He has trouble-free wells that have been producing great water for over 35 years without ever pulling the pump. I'm not trying to change the subject, but just thinking out loud that when water doesn't fall from the sky, it's a precious gift to have a great well.

Ladies,, Brandi and FG,, it only got up to 92 here.. but the humidity was like 300.. really,, I heard someone say "can you believe the humidity is over 300% today".. and the other person who I didn't know,, said.. "my goodness that is unbelievable,, how can it be greater than 100%".. Then the other person that I may have known in another life.. said "I don't know but I heard someone else say it,, so it much be true,, like when you read it on the internet".:D. Lou
