drink the water.. drink the water,, if not you will not like tomorrow.. Lou

Chivas might get me spoiled, Lou, but if whiskey is carb free, I have plenty of Evan Williams as well as some Jack Daniels around here! :D Thanks, Lou! I don't mind the ice, on a hot summer day, but usually forego it in the winter!

Well, here's some pictures of my monster tomato. Now bear in mind that Lou's tomato was over twice the size of this one, but I didn't use nuclear waste as fertilizer nor water with Lone Star Beer.;) Still, I'm mighty proud of this tomato because it is easily the biggest tomato I've ever grown. I think it's big because the plant only had a dozen tomatoes while the others of the same type had twice that many. I didn't thin the vine down, but it was shaded by a fast growing Sweet 100 cherry tomato plant and only set a dozen tomatoes. Also, it's a determinate type (BHN602) and only makes one crop of fruit. Lou, I pass the TBN blue ribbon to you and gladly take 2nd place.:D

I grew up drinking, Lou! I think I have a higher tolerance to it than most. Only been very few mornings in my life that I felt the effects. I made a lot of spending money in college, with bets on how much I could drink, and still pass a sobriety test. My last year of college, they were wanting to train some rookies in what to look for in DWI, etc. PD was offereing Top Shelf drinks, and a free ride home for you and your vehicle. I declined. Didn't want the PD to know what I looked like after a few, since I knew I could pass the field test. Back then, not as much traffic, and not as many DUIs (as they call it now?), since there was usually no one else on the road. Now, I stay home to drink.

I've always heard, "I pity the person that doesn't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they are going to feel, all day!"

I do have to admit that I felt a bit like Turtleman, Ernie Brown, when I reached in and pulled that big monster off the vine. I checked real quickly to make sure it wasn't gonna bite me. "Lu! Lu! Lu! Lu! Live action!"

How did it taste? That's the real test.
Some of the big ones are like the giant strawberries, look great on the outside but taste like cardboard.

The jury is still out. . . I'm giving it a couple of days to ripen a bit more before cutting. If somebody sees any green on the outside they might accuse me of sneaking in a watermelon and calling it a tomato.;)

You don't need the jackhammer. It hurts your back. Follow Brandi's advice and use a tractor!
