Yes, there are 6 cogs. Each is 1" in diameter and a 1/4 turn of the handle moves all 6 at the same time with a 2" throw.

Tuned out really nice. Do you have seats in the closet to wait out the storm? what about supplies like water and snacks? Radio and flashlight? And my biggest concern is what to do if you have to go and just can't hold it any longer?

We not completely setup yet, but we do have plans for all that. Seats will be folding chairs, but if we have time cushioned ones are just a few feet away and there is room for them. We're also wired for TV and POE cameras so we can see what's happening outside.
