Sounds like you dodged a bullet on that particular boat!

That’s sad in regards to the maintenance. I think the boat is a perfect combination of cruising and fishing. It checked off all my must-have’s including cabin where the admiral can relax, rebirth, Galli, bathroom with shower, quarter birth for additional sleeping room, cockpit for fishing, diesel power and stability when sloppy.
I was attracted to the Downeast style type of boat but realized to get everything that I wanted I was going to have to step into something closer to 35’+. This is a very “big” boat for 31 feet

Cool!

Any plans for the round and square stock?

How much a pound are you paying for scrap?

Merry Christmas!

No plans just hitting up the scrapyard for “treasures”
Price was close to 100$ so around .30?

Ahhh, treasure.

Our CNC lathe at work has a 4" thru spindle, but I have a Royal 16C collet setup on it and it only accepts up to 1.625" stock. I have to put the real heavy chuck on for bigger stock like this. It is not a job I enjoy (exchanging chuck for collet setup)....

That's a neat buggy. Is there a build thread anywhere on it? Assuming hydraulically driven?

No build thread as they were factory produced in late 70’s

4wd, 4 wheel steer, weight is 500 lbs but can pull a lot
All belt driven in a rather complex Tho robust fashion. (these are the same belts that have been on this machine for the past 10 years since I originally rebuilt and then sold the machine and then got it back after somebody didn’t take care of it as well as I would’ve liked)

Interesting....never seen them before, and I've been involved with ATV's since the early '70's.
