New Kioti Please help! Many issues

/ New Kioti Please help! Many issues #61
Hi. We are in upper northeast corner of TN.
We requested the Kioti 3rd function valve and it was supposed to be a full install kit.
(423) 323-4902

Did you try Eaton and Son in Blountville TN? Website says in business since the mid 80's.
I am in Hancock Co and we lost our dealer a couple of years ago. I have not needed one recently & have bought parts online.

Thank you for your input, but all that is pretty much Greek to us. We did not install the valve ourselves as we requested that the 3rd function be put on the tractor we had just bought before it was delivered.
Understand about possibility of blockage or debris. Will check it out.
This gets extremely hot, wouldn't want to hold onto it for long.View attachment 5207983
This is the KIOTI 3rd Function Kit for the CK2510 / CX2510 tractors. You had mentioned in your previous post it was "under the right step". This is the loader bracket mounted 3rd Function Valve.

Obviously, this should get warm, but not hot. As previously mentioned, make sure the P and T ports are plumbed properly. P port on the 3rd Function Valve from the Joystick Valve Power Beyond, T port back to the the port the original Power Beyond pipe was removed from. If plumbed properly, 2 other possibilities; the 3rd Function Valve is constantly powered, from either faulty switches or improper harness installation, or if the tractor has Rear Remotes, the lever is not in neutral.

Hope this helps

Good response.
Hard to troubleshoot hydraulic/electrical installations when not on site, especially with a new owner operator.

Here is a link to a Summit install of a 3rd function on a CX, it will give you something to compare your setup to.
To the OP are you aware of how to operate your 3rd function? You should have two seperate switchs each switch will activate one solenoid, one to (open) while held, the other to (close) while held. The solinoids should not be energized unless you are holding a switch.

Is that the P port or T port
I'm sorry, I don't know that. In the installation for the 3rd function, its just labeled, I think, hose 4.

Ok, this is a bit difficult if unfamiliar w hyd fittings.
Your fittings pictured are hot due to friction. You have a flow restriction someplace. Where did these bent tube elbows come from?
Are they the correct i.d. for your tractor?
If you were going with elbows, I have a propensity to use s.a.e fittings or even jic’s with the the proper inside diameter the rest of your tractor uses which more than likely are 3/8”.
I am not a fan of bent tube hydraulic fittings and although they are pictured, they may be undersized for your hydraulic pressure.
Thanks
Everything on the tractor is either factory or was installed by the dealer before it was delivered to us originally

Thanks. Eaton and Son is our local dealer. Good guy, know him for a while, but due to some extenuation circumstances (death in immediate family) he is unable to take any new work. I've talked to him a couple of times. He'd help if he could

It would be marked on the valve body itself

If you can’t see that one, check the bent one to the right

This dealer is supposed to be about 48 miles
Young's Tractor & Equipment
7166 East Hwy 19E Burnsville, NC 28714
(828) 675-4365

Another option could be to get a local hydraulic shop to make sure it’s put together right

Well, from where we're at, it closer to 80 miles but might as well be 1000!
We've tried to not badmouth anyone, but that is the dealer that screwed us over!

Randy, you state there is a problem w your tractor. You do not know enough to solve the problem yourself.
The dealer who did the install does
not seem to know either.
Your closest dealer does not want you as a customer.
It leaves you w three options: 1. Go to yet another dealer. 2. Find a hydraulic shop to straighten out the problem. 3. Tell your original dealer you want to have him take his tractor back and refund your money. Before you decide on this option, bone up on the consumer protection laws in your state and or contact your state attorney generals office to learn exactly what you can do. Presently you have a multi thousand dollar paper weight.
Then go buy another tractor at a dealership that knows what it’s doing.

Thank you. We have a lot to consider now. We have not been able to use the tractor for weeks now and we really need it. Yes, we now have a big orange psperweight.
We think that all of you folks have given us enough input that we've sort of gotten the 3rd function system figured out. Still going to check all couplings for debris. Did a small test drive after we traced everything for the 3rd function. Actually performed a tiny bit better. At least you could change your bucket position while you were moving and it didn't bog down to a near stop, only bogged down slightly. So that's a plus. Hopefully after we check for debris and make sure everything is clean, it will improve more. It is still sluggish and underpowered, though, in our opinion.

The biggest issue right now is the 4wd disengaging itself. You can engage the 4wd and withing a few feet (sometimes 3 or 4, sometimes 10 or 15) it disengages itself and the lever returns to the neutral position.
If we can get that resolved......

Also, I think, our biggest disappointment is the Kioti company itself. Their lack of caring about their customers and then the rudeness of the employee we finally got to talk has left a bitter taste.

Are you sure you are engaging the 4wd and not just locking the differential (which will unlock on it's own after a few feet)? On my Kioti, the 4wd is an actual lever you reach down and move, the diff lock you step on.

You may also have a bad coupler that an inspection, rather than a replacement, will not depict.
Randy, you are in a stasis. Your purchasing dealer had been rather worthless. You may have grounds for a refund by law.
Your tractor may be behaving intermittently but for all intents and purposes, that’s insufficient for tractor use.
You need to do something effective for either the tractor or yourself.

The 4wd is the black lever you can see below the seat on the left in the picture.

It might not be engaging all the way and popping out under load.

Right now, it looks to be in the middle of the slot. If that's now disengaged, then there is no way it is engaging all the way, so the linkage needs to be adjusted.

We have looked under the tractor where the 4wd goes to the transmission and there is no linkage that we can see. Is the linkage you're referring to inside the transmission and can't be seen unless you open the casing?

/ New Kioti Please help! Many issues #79
I imagine the lever hits the slot before reaching the end of the "stroke".

Checking the parts catalog and looks like the lever actuates the shaft directly, so no linkage. Wondering the if the actual lever is bent or something. This should be something for the dealer to fix.

Third function definitely sounds like is stuck on, which eventually can wear out your hydraulic pump, because your overheating the system, fluid is trying to flow but it can't.
Have you ever hooked anything up to the third function to see if you could operate anything?
Have you tried disconnecting the electrical power to the third function?
Just to make sure - the instructions you have should be for the CKA164 kit.
I know you have the Kioti kit installed but you can lookup and use this site for some help as well. www.wrlonginc.com/help the kit you have is very similar in hydraulic operation.
