Why not simply rename Land Clearing to Land Clearing, Forestry Management and Property Improvement ?
GREAT IDEA!

And yet there you are, posting away in the international travel thread, chainsaw threads, scissor lifts, sales records for GM in China... did you ever get your prickly pear under control with herbicide?
I tend to like not just the tractor talk here, but also the general conversation about people's lives, how they use their tractors, projects, accessories, how the economy may effect our tractor purchases, land purchases, kids in rural/tractor life... welding is a part of rural life. We perfect these skills to make repairs, but why not share some pictures of welded art? Many of us are retired. Some, like me, are in a 2nd career. I like to see how folks allocate their time to get in some tractoring. Countertops? Why not? We all gotta eat those veggies we grow in our gardens maintained with our tractors. Kentucky weather? Can't drive the tractor in the clay if its too wet. Spray foam insulation? Gotta seal up that tractor shed or house. Fitness tracker? We all could use a bit of health education.
Why does your avatar picture have someone standing inside by a beverage bottle???
Why do I have a picture of Teddy Roosevelt being bullish on PowerTrac?
Because its fun to hang out with friends and shoot the bologna once in a while!

I thought the whole site was about property improvement!
It probably should then be moved out of the Equipment forums section. If you are looking for Forestry related topics, https://www.arboristsite.com/community/ is excellent.

Perhaps I should post as to how I made an attachement to modify my chainsaw into a saw mill. LOL
Shucks, it was DIY, included welding, wood and my tractor.
Time wise it was costly but on a satisfaction level priceless.
Oh, and I made about 10 boards and I think maybe used 3 or 4.
Well said in its entirety... I deleted all but your last sentence because I believe that is this is the key to this forum.Last, but likely most important, a big 'THANK YOU' to all who moderate and maintain this site. I, as likely do many others, genuinely appreciate it for what it is.

No one knows my deficiencies more than me (with the exception being Katie my wife), and one thing I dislike about myself is that I can be opinionated. I know that, but many times, often after a day of banging around in a bulldozer/skidder/excavator all day and am really tired, keep the BE NICE mantra in mind, and refrain from posting at all, or rephrase what I am going to say.
But I contribute, and I hope everyone feels they have something to contribute.
The heavy equipment and land clearing sub-forums seem to be a touch slow, perhaps due to the season, and I would like to see that change, but realize there are far more people that own Kubota's then bulldozers.
