Dude, you seem to have had A LOT of problems with this tractor!
That I didn't tighten down a couple of fittings from a hose that I just installed?
Loader issue- resolved (factory issue)
Cab leak- resolved (not sure who covered this, but the dealer dealt with it, took them two shots)
Cracked sun visor- resolved
The only issue I have now is the transmission range selector, it's a bit tough to change ranges from time to time. Seems to be very common and most folks state that it improves with time.
No, not the DIY stuff. The fact that you posted in another thread that you might want to leave it at the dealer permanently and the fact that it's been back to the dealer 4(?) times? I'd be frustrated. No attack meant. :drink:

Hi Diesel, I used Lucas hydraulic conditioner in my trans and it helped with the notchy shifting some. Don't expect a miracle but it did help. Not a huge issue to me but can try your patience. I am thinking on getting into a NX6010 from my DK50 for the HP increase, BUT my DK has and is a great tractor so I don't want to get into a headache. I also PM'd Eric on his tractor to see how he likes his and any issues he has had. I would like something in the 80-90hp range but the hystat is a must. CJ
Thanks for the tip on the conditioner. I'll keep this in mind!
Not sure if bumping up from 50hp to 60hp is going to do all that much for you (especially if you're thinking you'd like 80-90hp). HP is mostly evident when doing ground-engaging work. All depends on what kind of work you're needing to do. In the NX series they're running the same loader (same capacity) and, the same engine (only difference is software programming).
I went from 30hp to this 55hp. And the 30hp tractor, the B7800, is a small-frame tractor (I still have it; I'll never give it up- it can get into places where most other tractors cannot, and the 30hp is enough to allow it to work when it's there!).
I'm only nearing 50hrs, not enough to really give a sound impression of this NX5510. But, for the most part, with the "new machine" issues dealt with, it's working really well: I've managed to escape damaging the tractor, knock on wood! (have scuffed some paint on the brush guard; paint on cab step is well worn- Kioti's paint work is not top-notch). I've been doing a lot of loader work (and lifting around pallets of wood here and there), and towing of my dump trailer (I'm pushing well over 10k lbs on a run). Folks here convinced me to go with a cab and I'm very happy to have listened to them; when I can be out on the property I'll see how well this holds up- I'll be working around/between trees here and there (not heavily wooded, but enough that one has to watch out). I cannot wait to get my grapple on (waiting for my backlog of other work to complete before I can get around to installing the lines); that'll be another good test.
My philosophy is to get what will do the majority of work you need to do, and what it cannot do, rent something that can.
That is where I need the power is running a loader digging and stacking dirt, also the snowblower. The blower is 100% HP affected. I use my loader to full capacity a lot and it never comes off the tractor. Been running heavy equipment almost all my life and I use it to it's full potential. If I could get a hydrostat in a bigger unit I would but nobody offers one. The other brands don't have the loader capacity so that is not a option. I also pull my dump trailer and normally have 8-10k in it so I need the lift cap on the 3 point also. Eric still has not pm'd me back so what is your opinion on the 3 cylinder engine? Is it smooth and how is the sound level? Fuel consumption is a non issue but the engine quality to me is. CJ

I've got a 14k lb dump trailer. It weighs about 3k lbs. I've been hauling 6k to 8k lbs in it (I figure) w/o any problems: I even did a little grading (going forward pushing what I'd unloaded) with the trailer hooked up3pt does not come in to play here- it's all drawbar: I personally would not tow a lot of weight using the 3pt..
Tier 4 engines are all pretty smooth and fairly quiet (when compared to previous generation engines): most has to do with running common rail. Can't say what the noise level is. I know that Eric put some sound-proofing in his. I've been mostly running around 2k RPM, which is under the speed that one would want to run something on the PTO at: only PTO implement I have is a 6' rotary and I have yet to use this combination (won't be able to until mid to late Spring).
I don't think one could say that fuel consumption is a non-issue. I suspect you're referring to cost, in which case I don't doubt you. However, anything burning through fuel quickly is going to have you stopping and refueling more often.
As long as the tractor has enough capacity for a full days work, I am good. I don't want to fuel halfway through the day. CJ
