How much more is your insurance? I'd like to have something like that myself.

Since it's not a pickup, I had to shop around for commercial insurance. My broker found coverage via Progressive

$750K liability for $789/year. Add uninsured/underinsured motorist and medical payments and the total is about $970/yr. I was paying about $600/yr for my 2001 F150 (traded that in last Dec).

Just out of curiosity, what is the difference in registration fees between your current NPR and the F-150? I don't know how your state establishes registration fees, by weight, or value of the vehicle when new?

Registration is about $350/yr for the NPR and around $150/yr for the F150. I don't know how CA calculates registration fees. You can go to the CA DMV website and get an estimate of these fees by giving the VIN and license plate #.

Ford messed around with this idea recently. They called it the "Tough Box" but I don't think it ever went into production:

I like the doors concept; but I sure don't want the Tough Box going all the way across the bed. I'd just like to use the wasted space between the inner and outer box walls to store small items I currently have behind the front seats.

With a full load of passengers and luggage, and near 7000 pounds, my GMC would get just over 16.4 mpg on the freeway, as long as you stayed under 64 mph.

13.5 is my average, and I definitely drive the speed limit to 5MPH above.

Centurion offered a 6 door F350 in the mid 90's. King Ranch down in south Texas bought some as crew trucks. I managed to find a pic of one online.

that looks similar to what I have see our county drive before.. though I havn't seen em in a couple yers. reminded me of a crew cab plus an extra back seat or a crew cab a=with a king cab lil extra piece on back.

I couldn't get that into a single one of my fields, either the turn radius or breakover would stop it.
