kioti 3520 start up smell

this may be a weird question. When I start my kioti , it almost smells like the exhaust has a sweet aroma almost like radiator fluid. I don’t know if this has to do with the newer technology and exhaust systems. But my older Tractor’s never smelled like this.

Is there any white "smoke" from the exhaust?
I would definitely keep an eye on the coolant level.

DPF will leave some weird smells indeed, but just in case, keep monitoring the coolant level for some time.

Check it with the engine cold and check at the radiator. Don't just look at the expansion tank as under certain situations, it can be misleading.

no white smoke at all, tractor has 85 hours on it

checked it and it’s filled to the top, so must be dpf. i guess im not used to the newer tractors

I used to have a 2009 VW Golf with 1.6 TDI engine a couple years ago. That thing would stink the garage with that terrible DPF smell for the entire day. That thing was absolutely awful.
