As you know a motor is nothing more than a pump. The bigger the pump the more power. Even the tecumseh 6hp is 221cc. My kohler is a 7hp with 208cc and their other command pro model like mine is the 6hp also with 208cc???? Bottom line is the Kohler Command Pro 270 is an awesome motor, I would even say it is very comparable to a honda. It just lacking, It can't take the tiller to full depth. I have to run at the 3rd setting. Always ran the old briggs at full depth once the garden was tilled, and that was rarely at full throttle, usually 3/4 and it was more than capable and I use my 6ft tiller to do the initial ground breaking. Will probably end up with a Honda gx240/270 8+hp motor when I'm done frogging around with tiller just need to deal with the 1" shaft and pulley to fit it.

If you would like us to help, how about posting couple of photos of what the spark plug color looks like after the engine has bogged down under heavy loading?
